It'll be an all timer if Lebron can pull it off. Kobe needed Shaq & Gasol. Jordan needed Pippen. Magic had Kareem & Worthy. Bird had better teammates. Isiah had the bad boys. Duncan had The Admiral & then Parker & Manu.

Who da fuck does James have? JRSmith? TThompson?

I'm rooting for him but I doubt it happens. :( sadly Warriors are too good

Post Re: NBA Thread - Finals baby
LeBron's help in Miami was overrated anyway. Wade by and large sucked and was a liability in the playoffs each season. Kobe and Jordan both had Phil Jackson for all of their championships. Phil fucking Jackson. Compare that Mike fucking Brown, ERIK SPOLSTRA??? or this bum they have now. It is literally not possible for a team with LeBron to be as bad as some of those early 2000's Laker teams were with Kobe on them.

LeBron James is the best basketball player of all time. No other player's presence had such a dramatic positive impact on the team overall than himself. He's never had a good coach, and he's never had truly great players around him.

It's so true. It doesn't matter how dumb the head coach, or how poor the other 4 guys might be assuming they're NBA caliber players. If LBJ is on the team, they're borderline favorites to win the championship, period. That just was not the case with Michael Jordan or especially Kobe Bryant.

Hate to say it but that's what's going to happen. :(

IDK if it's going to happen but we'll see.

Cleveland simply cannot let up. They have to continue to play super physical, super energized defense. If they do that, they're tough to beat barring a simply atrocious offensive showing. Smothering physical defense in basketball is EXTREMELY difficult to overcome & that's what the Cavs have shown through 2 games, though in the end of game 1 they let up as if they ran out of gas.

I think anybody thinking GS will just catch fire and make it rain like it's London don't understand how the series has played out. That's going to be near impossible if Cleveland continues to play the fast, tough defense they've played. Steph Curry has been all time shooter this season and right now he is out there shooting air balls. Cavs defense has been excellent by and large so far.

Game 3 is a total toss up to me. I'd like to see continued elite defense by the Cavs and JR Smith & TT show up on offense as well. LBJ gonna LBJ. If the Cavs can play their game, they will win. But if they get lazy on defense and/or the other guys continue to play poorly on offense, it will be a very difficult time.

Offensively, LBJ has the entire team on his shoulders. That has to change if they want to win.

Cleveland has a chance but a lot has to go right. The problem is they can lose in two ways. If Golden State starts passing it at an elite level like 2014 Spurs or 2011 Mavs and their offensive ball movement becomes impossible to guard, or the other way is that Cleveland's offense could just die and put up 80 points a game. Golden State had the best defense in the league in the reg season and Cleveland has a horrible supporting cast on the offensive end plus those role players are exhausting themselves to play D and rebound.

But Cleveland has the best player ever, and basketball is the least team heavy sport of the big team sports. One individual can trump 5.

The 2nd best organization in pro sports behind the Patriots?

I said 1 CAN beat 5, not always does.

And one can definitely beat five who aren't even trying. You could see the Warriors collectively give up once Curry missed that wide open floater in the paint. Not trying to rebound, not going after loose balls...they look pathetic.

Case and point - Curry trying to dump it in at the buzzer. If he had given it a tenth of a second's thought he would've known to bank it off the glass. Trying to drop the ball straight down takes too much time.

The Cavs are in the Warriors' and especially Curry's head.

And Curry just handed the Cavs the win.

Tip for Game 4, Cavs - If you go up by 20, don't think you've got the game won. If it weren't for Curry getting cute at exactly the wrong moment and a prayer, it probably would've cost you.

But before they win, how many times can the Cavs turn the ball over in the final 30 seconds?

The only good news for GS is Curry is finally awake. He got hot as the fourth quarter went on and they'll need that to carry over.

Cavs are in the driver's seat. Win Game 4 and they will pretty much have it wrapped up. And the great news for the Cavs is they seem to get better with each game.

I said the Cavs would win in and 4 and if they hadn't blown it at the end of game 1, that would be looking very likely. Cavs defense continues to be the story. If JR Smith or someone else could have a big game, it'd be all over.

Yeah, Curry definitely rediscovered his range in the 4th quarter, and Warriors need to start Iguodala and David Lee instead of Barnes, who had just been terrible, and Bogut. That would give them the best starting 5 they could find. Also play Barbosa more off the bench.

Still think it's A 50/50 series even though GSW is down 2-1. being down 20 point deficit is the best thing that could've happened to them because they got their confidence back in the fourth quarter. totally agree about starting their all stars Iguodala and Lee then all five would be capable assisters and scores without offensive liability, With them starting GSW should try to mimic Spurs in last year's Finals and just keep on passing the ball among all 5 players, tiring out the defense through most of the shot clock, and finally taking the shot after the defense is all worn out. then as Lebron and company are super fatigued they can play their usual fast paced offense later in the game.

Holy Shit the Cavs are up 2-1. After game 1 loss & Kyrie injury I never thought that would happen.
Now all they gotta do is win game 4 and u pretty much have it sealed.

Let's go Cavs!!!!

It's Cleveland. It's going to go:

Cavs win Game 4. Blow Game 5 on a Curry GW Three. Get blown out in Games 6 and 7.

This is insane. It's a shame there is so much LeBron hate, but to be honest I was a big time LeBron hater before this season, and I did not start rooting for Cleveland until they lost Love and still managed to find ways to win.

So it could be the Memphis series all over again. Memphis was also offensive challenged and had to consistently play great defense to win and ran out of gas in the last few games. 90 points is pretty much the most you could expect from the current version of Cavs, so they have less margin for error. I could still see the series go 7 with Lebron having one more signature game, but Warriors should feel much better now.

Yah unless Lebron gets another 40-10-10 triple double Sunday the Cavs are toast. If not Warriors win next 2.
They woke up the beast tonight. Much probs to coach Kerr making adjustment.

Yep Kerr having the balls to change his starters has turned the series around. And he also decided to finally start doubling LeBron. J.R. Smith has to step up now, because relying on Shumpert and Dellevadova to make threes is foolish.

I think GS takes the next two pretty easily, but I also use cynicism as a self-defense technique. You need to when you're a sports fan in Cleveland. :funny:

Watching Curry dribbles and shoots when his shots are falling is so much fun. :)
