Re: NBA Thread - Finals baby
It's pretty interesting that each team Warriors has played in this playoffs included one NBA first-teamer from this year's voting. If they win the final, it'll be the first time a team has beaten 4 such opponents on their way to the championship.

Cavs in 4 sounds reasonable.

Re: NBA Thread - Finals baby
Lebron can't but just healthy...he needs to play his best series ever, for the Cavs to have a chance. A triple double while averaging +35pts. I believe that's definitely a possibility in his current form, without it the Warriors are just to complete to counter everything else the Cavs have.

Re: NBA Thread - Finals baby
Warriors win game 1 and Irving leaves looking really hurt. If he can't come back, they will have a tough time without him. They would need Lebron to score 50-60 points a game.

Re: NBA Thread - Finals baby
Even though it was an extremely close back and forth game during regulation, this was a game Cavs desperately needed to win. GSW played badly with Finals jitters in the first quarter with Finals and that won't happen again. The limited minutes Dellavedova was in tthe game he had trouble even just dribbling the ball, unlike the last series Irving being done is a huge loss this time around, fatigue was a huge factor in Cavs collapsing in the 4th and overtime, they should've give Mike Miller and Shawn Marion some minutes, looking great for GSW, the starters had a poor game relatively yet they still managed to win. go Warriors!

Re: NBA Thread - Finals baby
The Warriors are a deep team, they have guys who can probably start on their bench. They can go 9-10 deep which just wears teams down. It is going to be really tough for the Cavs, especially if Irving isn't 100%.

Re: NBA Thread - Finals baby
That was a brutal loss. I knew Kyrie was only going to be able to deliver one or two good performances, so losing one of those and Kyrie himself is just devastating. And Kyrie wouldn't have even got hurt if it hadn't gone to OT! Dellevadova can't hang in this series, and the Warriors made Tristan Thompson completely useless too. I hope the Cavs have enough heart to a least avoid a sweep, but its gonna be tough.

Re: NBA Thread - Finals baby
GSW depth difference is too large especially considering their defensive strategy of letting LBJ shoot and making sure not to leave open shooters. To have any chance to compete Cleveland would need guys like Dellavedova and JR to be bombing tons of open 3s. But GSW is going out of their way to make sure those guys are always guarded.

Re: NBA Thread - Finals baby
Game 2 will be a blowout for warriors. Their offense wasn't good in game 1. Once that gets better this will get ugly for Cavs. I think warriors will win this in 5 or 6 at worst.

Re: NBA Thread - Finals baby
This series is probably 80% over but if Lebron is somehow able to get his team to victory now without Kyrie then his legend status will be unmatched. Of course, I don't see that happening. GS semi-laid an egg in game 1 and now that Kyrie is like 25% there's no consistent firepower to keep the Cavs in the game.

Re: NBA Thread - Finals baby
Irving's out 3-4 months with a busted kneecap.
Could Cleveland be anymore cursed? I can't wait until the end of the series when they show that championship drought graphic again like they did last night.
But if Lebron can pull this off... He won't, but if hell freezes over...

JR can easily have a 8/9 treys game, delladova will do double digits, Thompson picking up 20 rebounds, shumperts defense will be good..and lebrons going to score 40 again...add 20 points from the bench...and it will be a tough game...but they'll win by 7/8.

You are dreaming and Shumperts defense didn't do that much against Curry last game. I don't see most of that happening. I see the Warriors winning big. They are just too good and can't deny the best team.

Re: NBA Thread - Finals baby
It's really hard not see Golden State running rampant over the Cavs now, the probability of them not winning the title is probably 0%. That's just hopes and dreams now that the Cavs can still win it all. But Cavs will be game for the next one, LeBron will put on his cape, and I can see the Ewing Theory come into effect. Let's see, I think it will be an even series when they return to Cleveland.
