Anyone check it out last night? Probably one of the funniest premiere episodes I've seen in a LONG time. Brilliant stuff.

So great. Have always loves Will Forte and this just made me love him more. Super funny premiere.

It was good. I thought the second episode was better than the first. Also, it's incredibly well-made. It definitely had a cinematic quality to it.

I definitely checked it out. The first episode was very good but the 2nd episode was even better because of Carol!!!

I'm glad it did solid in the ratings last night!!

Ugh.

I was all prepared to enjoy this thoroughly and then Schaal popped up. It's not her character's point of view, necessarily, that grates to the extreme, but the fact that Phil *immediately* started giving in to all her bullshit--plus I just find Schaal to be rather irritating. The stop sign, her not-quite-right grammar fixation, the handicap spot, just everything about her.

It's especially annoying to me because I largely agree with her POV of trying to maintain civilized behaviors, but the know-it-all nature of her character plus the actresses' portrayal cancel out just about all sympathy.

I'll give it a few more, but honestly this feels like a death-blow.

Schaal is the best. Sorry you hate everything good in the world.

Eh? Are you all high? The first episode was pretty much college toilet humour at its worst. And then the second episode was weird. It took them 20 minutes to effectively retitle the show The Last People on Earth. Meh.

The woman is funnier BTW.

I loved this. The first episode was actually surprisingly moving and then the second episode was hilarious. I love the idea of the last man and woman on earth being two people who can barely tolerate each other.

Will Forte is fantastic on this too.

This show is great! I've loved the last two episodes - last night's episode with Phil's dream was HILARIOUS.

"Hey Phil, guess what I have?! It starts with a D!"

I didn't realize Kristen Schaal was in this.

Consider my interest piqued.

I watched five episodes of this last night including the season finale. This show is so enjoyable. I loved the rivalry between Phil ("Tandy") and new Phil. And the ending of the finale last night was super sweet. Excited for the new season and where things will go.

Also, Jason Sudeikis was a totally random surprise at the end.

Interesting that the finale was the best episode since the pilot.

It'll be cool to see PhilTandy and Carol together somewhere other than Tucson, although I imagine they'll end up back there.

And yeah, the Jason Sudeikis cameo was a pleasant surprise.

Really good premiere. I hope Phil and Carol find each other soon. And what happened in Tucson? Are January Jones/Mary Steenburgen/etc. gone this year? I hope not as they were hilarious last season.

Also, the "Paper Planes" joke was hilarious.

I am watching the first season now on Hulu. I have around four episodes left, then I will watch the second season's premiere.

Delightful series.

I really like this season. I was glad that Todd ended up confessing to the bacon scheme last night - it's been a little uncomfortable watching all of them gang up on Phil the past few episodes.

Also, can Phil 2.0 go away/be written off? I hate him.

I want to say this in a not-so-negative way because this series still has a firm place in my heart, but I am enjoying this season less than the first. More and more, I find the fractious group dynamic (do the crime/do the time, the brooding second Phil, etc.) rather wearying, and I want Tandy and Carol to slip away for a bit of free-flowing post-apocalyptic absurdity.

I wonder when it will return to Jason Sudeikis as Tandy's space-stranded brother.

Yeah, they need more Tandy/Carol time. That's when the show is at its best. Though I still laugh my ass off every week.

I detest Phil 2.0 and hope he leaves eventually (haven't watched last night's yet). He's such an unlikable asshole with no redeeming qualities and when the show focuses on his antics I think it becomes almost too mean-spirited.

The season finale was so sad! When Phil gave the sports balls away to Mike it was seriously a tearjerking moment.

This season was excellent. This is one of my favorite shows on TV right now.

The midseason premiere tonight with Kristen Wiig was absolutely fantastic. She deserves an Emmy nom, IMO. Excited she's going to recur.

The montage of dead presidents was unbelievably hilarious.

The Kristen Wiig episode was perfect. Absolutely brilliant in every way.

Second episode, a return to more standard ground, but solid. RIP the decent-if-never-riveting Lewis.

I dig when this series, in tandem with its humor and warmth, touches on the inherent despair and terror beneath its concept. The resulting friction is interesting and unique.
