I'm just so interested in these characters. All of them. Carrie, Brody, Saul, Peter and Dana (to a lesser degree - actually I wish she'd died). I think Brody's wifes' lover (is it Andy?) should be in Season 3, though, or did he die in the explosion? Season 2 was a year ago and I've forgotten specific parts. Mike? He's coming back eventually this season, though he was downgraded from a series regular to a recurring character this season (he's a regular on "The Blacklist" now).

I would love for a towel head to sneak into the Brody household and slice open Dana's throat.

 Re: "Homeland" (Season 3)
You are such a sad person. Who are my friends? David? Yeah... your point? It is really sad you are THAT sad of a person you can't take a harmless joke. Something not even directed to you. Something completely dumb. Especially since I have never had an issue with you and never have I said two words to you to my knowledge
Anyways. Great episode. Loved the surprise of Stephanie J. Block in it too.

 Re: "Homeland" (Season 3)
I didn't say you did. Was simply wondering why you were getting so uptight over a comment, that was in no way shape or form meant to be taken seriously, so to heart when it had nothing to do with you or anyone here.
Claire Danes was so, so good in the last scene. This was easily the best episode so far of the season. I didn't mind the usual dumb Dana stuff (maybe she'll get shot and put in a coma or something?). Can't wait for next week!

I don't think that twist made any sense, but fuck it, I'm in. I got such a thrill from that smile Saul gave Carrie.

 Re: "Homeland" (Season 3)
I can't decide if I liked the big twist last night or felt sorta cheated by it. It'll make Carrie's story going forward the rest of the season interesting, I think, but it sort of makes everything that's happened so far this season feel like a waste of time. Oh well. The reset button has been pushed.
I did get all heartwarmed when Saul consoled Carrie at the end of the episode. I was actually pretty upset when it seemed he had betrayed her before.
In other news, I'm a Dana Brody apologist, but this new storyline is just...no. No. No. No. No. No. No more.

 Re: "Homeland" (Season 3)
Is it really that big of a twist though? I mean, anyone with half a brain knew there was a reason for him throwing Carrie under the bus.

It negated everything we saw happening to Carrie for four episodes. Well, framed them from a different perspective is more charitable. I feel weird about it, because on the one hand I'm really glad they did it and think it's cool they're keeping us on our toes AND now we don't know where things are going. It's also frustrating at the same time just from the narrative that had been building for Carrie all season. I still love this show, though, so I will give it the benefit of the doubt and lean towards "good move, show."

 Re: "Homeland" (Season 3)
This interview with Alex Gansa does say that this was a plan cooked up by Saul and Carrie shortly after the bombing, which puts an interesting spin on things. Was Carrie's "Fuck you, Saul" a few episodes ago anger about...being kept in the hospital too long? Worried about sticking out the plan? Interesting questions to ponder. http://www.tvguide.com/News/Homeland-Ga ... 72323.aspx

I think it fits into "one of the worst pot twist in tv history". It makes the first four episodes of the season competely useless. They ouclda pulled this on episode two and it wouldn't have been so bad but four episodes into the season? Fuck no. BAsically they're saying the first four hours of tv didn't matter. And what about no -Brody? they literally spent 40 minutes making him a heorin addict and ruined hs "big return" by not following up his story on this episode. UGH When was the last time such an awesome show dove this bad in quality in a matter of episodes?

 Re: "Homeland" (Season 3)
Also Their plan was a complete leap of faith without an actual chance of happenening. This quote explains it all. Quote: from a story perspective, is that it was a total Hail Mary entirely dependent on the bad guys taking notice of Carrie being outed in the media and springing her from the psych ward to exploit her for their own evil plans. Javadi had to fall perfectly into Saul's trap, and dammit, Carrie was going to remain in captivity until he did. This entire plan was a stretch that even a Grandmaster Yoga Champion couldn't've made. But in the magic world of television, of course it happened.

 Re: "Homeland" (Season 3)
I have heard Brody doesn't come back into play until episode 9, but I'm not sure how reliable that information is.
Of course it's a little far fetched, but isn't most television and movies? It's still incredibly well made, well acted and entertaining.

 Re: "Homeland" (Season 3)
GREAT episode last night. One of the best of the season, and the ending re-affirmed why I love this show. Excellent acting all around.
So over the backlash this season has been getting. People just like to nitpick. Acting like this is somehow the worst show on TV now is hilariously misguided, especially when everyone gets SO excited over "The Walking Dead" where it literally takes an entire season for anything to happen plotwise.

Hmmm everything Homeland did in 4 episodes was squashed and swpt under the rug in a matter of seconds....

 Re: "Homeland" (Season 3)
It was undoubtedly a twist. It's just that Internet wise guys don't want to appear stupid by being honest. I didn't see it coming and I thought it worked very well. The first four episodes were not useless at all. This is about the CIA and the lengths their operatives will go to uncover (and gain evidence on) the truth. It's riveting stuff. I'm glad the producers are finding new ways to please its audience, and I'm pleased that a portion of their audience is simply pre-programmed to dislike anything after the first two seasons and will come up with such bullshit to believe it.

But I'm sure they would give the reason of sticking to the plan. It couldn't have been being in hospital for too long because by that point she hadn't been in hospital all that long.
