 Re: Buffy's GRaduation Day parts 1 & 2....
So I'm basically done with the show since I only need to watch the last two episodes.
This show is definitely one of the all time greats and my ranking of the seasons would be:
Season 6 Season 5 Season 3 Season 2 (These are SO good, like best run of a show I've ever seen) Season 7 (starts a lil sloooooooooow but then picks up, buut it's a huge stepdown from the previous seasons) Season 4 Season 1

I rewatched the first five seasons recently, and thought I'd be fine because I knew what was coming. Nope nope nope, completely broken once more. And then The Body just stomped on the pieces.

Do you need to watch the Kristy Swanson movie before starting the TV series?

Never felt compelled to watch the movie but the show certainly has me interested. Have watched 2 or 3 episodes back in the late 90s but out of sequence so keen to binge watch.

Yeah, keep in mind that it gets a lot better after Season 1 (which is still fun, IMO). It's a half-season, anyway.

Amazing Buffy starts around 2/3 season 2 and it never really stops. It slows dowwn in season 4 but even that has the third best epsode of the show.

What was your reaction to the end of Seeing Red, in particular? I'm always curious how fans view the "Your Shirt" moment, plus the Spike/Buffy sexual assault scene.

It is definitely one of my favorites of the entire series. My reaction tothe rape scene was like i understood spike and buffy so i was pretty neutral and the other one i was jumping up and down in excitement. Season 6 is my favorite season because it was so dark!.

 Re: Buffy/Angel Thread
So since I am free this wknd I had planned a huge party, but fucking weather acted like a bitch and everything got fucked up (My backyard is flooded) and I had no choice than start watching Angel. I just finished "I Will Remember You" (Buffy's first appearance on the show).
And this is without a doubt my favorite episode of either Buffy or Angel(nothing on Angel will ever come close to this episode). It's just so.... holy shit that scene where Angel tells Buffy The Oracle are turning back time.
it just wreck-ek-ek-ed me.

 Re: Buffy/Angel Thread
Still can't get over how good this episode was.
I mean it shattered my soul and heart in a single scene harder than Ozymandias or The Red Wedding ever did.
How come SMG didn0t win an Emmy for her performance here? it is insulting.

 Re: Buffy/Angel Thread
Finished the first season already.
I put it above the first of Buffy and below every other Buffy season with my favorite episodes being the corssovers especially "I Will Remember You" and the season finale.
Good show but i kinda wish they had some kind of big bad for the season instead of moster of the week with Wolfram & Hart showing up here and there.

Passion, yo.
Actually, Surprise, Innocence, Passion, and Becoming Pts 1 and 2 run consecutively make for one hell of a film.

 Re: Buffy/Angel Thread
So I finally decided I should watch Angel. Buffy is my all time fave, but I abandoned Angel after first season back then. I'm on the beginning of the fourth season and Angel doesn't hold the candle to Buffy. It's soooo subpar. So far there was only one episode I'd call excellent, but nothing outstanding and TV defining like Buffy had in droves - the episode Birthday was wonderful. And that's it. The seasonal arcs are weak. The stand alone episodes range from weak to just good, sometimes really good. Cordelia is probably the best character on the show. She has developed so good over the seasons.
But my main beef is that plot points are weak. Angel has tons of enemies but nobody thought of blowing up the hotel? W&H feel retarded and clueless for a centuries old evil demon run firm.
I'm really disappointed.
