Disney Channel also had Even Stevens, Lizzie McGuire and That's So Raven which were all pretty good for what they were.

Nothing on Disney Channel so far though can beat Phil of the Future. Cancelled too soon even though it was one of the channel's biggest hits!

DIsney is not what it was 20 or even 10 years ago. Should have been on ABC Family at worst.

It'll pull in bigger numbers on Disney as it still gets a solid # of viewers for its episodes whereas ABC Family has fallen recently even with their flagship shows.

So did anyone else watch last night?

I enjoyed it. It pretty much met my expectations. I wasn't expecting anything like the last couple seasons of the show and in fact I was expecting it to act more like the first couple of seasons which it did. Michael Jacobs style still works today and it just felt like a natural progression from where BMW ended (it was also nice to see his production tag at the end hadn't changed, loved hearing that music again). The entire cast was great too.



Too bad we have to wait two more weeks for a new episode but I have a feeling this will be a very fun season.

This has actually been a pretty enjoyable show. It found pretty solid footing, mainly due to the strong acting from the two girls. And Sabrina Carpenter (Maya) has brilliant comedic timing.

Sabrina Carpenter saves the show. Without her, it would be decent, boosted only by nostalgia. But her comedic timing and her chemistry with the lead girl (who feels slightly miscast, though she's coming into her own) are making the show all around better.

Ben Savage and Danielle Fishel are great of course, but it's not exactly their show.

It's a very "light" show right now, and it has just barely touched on deeper subjects, but those moments were really well done. So you can see a lot of BMW in it. I'm not sure Savage can emulate the fantastic performances that William Russ gave in BMW, though.

Last episode was totally worth it. Shawn and Corey show was awesome! and all the dramatic elements were great as well. It's been renewed for a second season and they're saying Shawn and Mr. Feeny are coming back in a larger way. Since the Pilot and finale both had 5+ million viewers compared to the 2-3 the rest of the series, I hope it turns more into the crossworlds idea they are hinting at.

And they've announced Eric and someone else are appearing as well (My money is on Jack or Rachel.)

Eric will have an entire episode called: Girl Meets Mr. Squirrels

This show needs more of this.

May 11th this returns for Season 2 even though Season 1 just ended a few weeks ago...

I was already a fan of Season 1 but Season 2 has been kind of brilliant. If BMW fans are still complaining after what this season has given so far they just aren't going to be pleased. I like how this is still a show about these girls growing up but its just as much now a continuation of BMW. "Girl Meets Hurricane" was probably the best episode of the show thus far and showed that not only is Shawn still a very strong character but that Mya is also the best asset of the show.

Eric's return was great as was Angela's (and her scene with Shawn making a lot of sense instead of just feeding into viewers' wants). It'll be fun to see Jack in a few weeks and I can't wait to see the Shawn/Mya storyline continue to grow.
