 Re: 2012 NFL Discussion
The NFC should clear up here soon besides the NFC East winner who will play Seattle. Green Bay and Minnesota has been an intense game.

 Re: 2012 NFL Discussion
The Vikings play calling the 2nd half has been bad. Yeah they pulled off a long bomb but if they had just pounded the ball they wouldn't have to throw 40 yard passes. Plus, might have damn record by now but they have to throw it on first down every dang time and take Peterson out on almost all third downs. Damn pigs!

 Re: 2012 NFL Discussion
I think Green Bay will win the rematch. I still see Atlanta as being the best team in the NFC. I like their chances of going to the SB.

Is there a quarterback worse in the clutch than Tony Romo?

 Re: 2012 NFL Discussion
Romo just chokes under pressure. On the other hand, Griffin was very impressive. I also don't really think Seattle wants to be playing Washington. They are probably a team they don't match up well.

 Re: 2012 NFL Discussion
Seattle-Washington should be great matchup, the 2 hottest winning streak teams w/ the 2 breakout rookie qb's.
Hope colts win against Baltimore (and Houston wins) so then the following week Colts can face Peyton manning!

 Re: 2012 NFL Discussion
Luck, RGIII, Wilson, Morris, Martin...
is this the best crop of Rookies the NFL has ever seen?
They probably give Luck Rookie of the Year, but it should go to Wilson who faced one of the hardest schedules in the NFL whereas Luck's Colts had the easiest. And Luck's quarterback rating is among the lower end of the league

In coaching news, seven NFL coaches have been fired today. Jacksonville should make 8 when they do it here in the next few days.

 Re: 2012 NFL Discussion
Luck shouldn't win ROTY. He has good numbers because of the dynamics of the IND offense. He has the GW drives because he makes mistakes...like a rookie should. And the Colts, sorry, are not really playoff-caliber. 10 of the games on their schedule were against shit teams (JX, TEN, KC, BUF, NYJ, etc). Meanwhile, RG3 has been so reliable as QB. He doesn't make rookie mistakes -- and he played with injuries, against harder teams and in a more-competitive division, and cranked out a miracle 7 game winning streak when his coach was telling him their season was over. He's the obvious choice.
Based on second-half play, it was a toss-up between RG3 and RW. RG3 won the weeks immediately after the bye leading up to his injury...RW these last 3-4 weeks.

Magnus wrote: Levy wrote: They probably give Luck Rookie of the Year, but it should go to Wilson who faced one of the hardest schedules in the NFL whereas Luck's Colts had the easiest. And Luck's quarterback rating is among the lower end of the league It's a tough decision IMO. Luck had the most GW drives for a rookie ever and had a SIGNIFICANTLY worse running attack than RG3/Wilson. And he did beat Green Bay and Houston, which were both impressive. But his INTs and completion percentage is an issue. RG3 had the most impressive stats from just a TD/INT ratio to completion percentage, but he also didn't really have to throw it that much and had much better help around him. Plus, the Skins honestly didnt beat anybody of significance. Their biggest wins were probably against the Vikings and the Ravens (the latter of which RG3 didn't really win cause he got injured). Wilson faced the toughest schedule and had impressive wins against 49ers, Chicago, and New England (I refuse to count the Green Bay game). But like RG3, he had a really good RB to help him, the best home field advantage in the league this season, and a top 5 defense. I would probably have to vote for RG3 because on stats alone, he wins and all the other factors in discussion are more theoretical. But I'd pick Luck to be the best QB of the future. Luck shouldn't win ROTY. He has good numbers because of the dynamics of the IND offense. He has the GW drives because he makes mistakes...like a rookie should. And the Skins are NOT a Top 5 defense. And, IDK, I think going 5-0 in your division after the bye against teams like the Cowboys and Giants (and even the Eagles?) counts for something..
