Not looking good for Packers and Texans. I don't think anyone would have predicted both those teams would lose this week against the Lions and Jaguars respectively.

Well it's tied now, so I think they'll end up winning, but it should NOT be this close against the Jaguars.

"It wasn't a reviewable play. I didn't review it."
Sums up the end of this Browns/Boys game. The refs have been very generous to the Cowboys.

 Re: 2012 NFL Discussion
And today's Pats/Colts game is proof that they had not in fact played anyone with considerable talent until today and they got absolutely throttled. Offense, defense (TALIB!), and special teams all chipped in. They were working on all cylinders. And even though Luck thre for over 300 yards he really picked a bad day to have, arguably, his worst game as a quarterback so far.
Good win for the Patriots and the Colts still have some ways to go.

 Re: 2012 NFL Discussion
The Colts will only make the playoffs because the AFC is so crappy this year.

 Re: 2012 NFL Discussion
So apparently Gronkowski will be out 4-6 weeks with a broken forearm. Great.
If we get Hernandez back the blow won't be quite as bad, but I don't like the idea Visanthe Shiancoe being the leading tight end on the team.
On the bright side I think the Pats still have the AFC East wrapped up.

 Re: 2012 NFL Discussion
I hope so. Despite the Patriots having to play the Texans and the 49ers, the Ravens schedule (after the second Steelers game) is quite difficult considering how flawed they are. They somehow keep winning though. Hopefully the Chargers can give the Pats a gift next week.

Steelers would've won tonight by at least ten with Big Ben in there. They need him back badly for the game in Baltimore in two weeks.

Ok, problem solved instead of allowing a fake td to be scored. Besides, if every scoring play is supposed to be reviewed then Fucking do the fuck so. Finally, if anyone besides a ref (and I doubt it) knew that rule then no one should complain but that isn't the case. The stupid commentators didn't know it or had even seen this called before. Let's be real, the rule (if it is one really) makes no sense. You would think a scoring play review trumps any thing any one does anyway.

Houston running back was down, got up and scored a touchdown, Jim Schwartz throws flag before play can be reviewed, the scoring play then becomes un-reviewable. Touchdown stands. Fucking ridiculous rule indeed but Schwartz should have known that a scoring play would be reviewed.

I've seen the rule applied twice within the last two years, once on the Patriots, and once on the Falcons, and I have written reports on horrible NFL rules, this one included. Schwartz should have known better. I did not see of Schwartz tried to pick up the flag or not. The announcers don't know shit, they make mistakes all the time, making the refs look like genius's. The stupidity of the refs could have easily been corrected and would have been had Schwartz not thrown the flag.

Posted on the ESPN board after the strip.
"Wow man the Lions are cursed. And what ever the curse misses the refs take care of."
I'm in agreement.
