I'm a bit excited about the new rules. Seems like they'll only benefit the show's entertainment value.

Will watch tmw, is the awkward tension between Adam and Xtine still there?

It seems to have tapered off a bit, at least in episode 1.

OK premiere. The yodeling girl was probably the highlight. Or Cee Lo trading in Purrfect the Cat for a cockatoo.

Also, the feud between Adam and Christina seems to have simmered.

I dunno if I can make it through a full season of this, though. It's just getting repetitive and it was *just* on a few months ago.

I might stick to watching this and The X Factor in select, sporadic points.

Yeah, I'm going to try my best to watch both this and "X-Factor" but I feel like it's going to get annoying and repetitive by the end. There's definitely an overkill on these kinds of shows at the moment. The fact that there's probably going to be another cycle of this in the spring is almost hard to believe.

Ugh, the stories the contestants tell make me puke. They had to make them up I'm sure. Or do all sick/unhappy people just sing good?

This is shaping up to be the most entertaining season yet. It's just so much fun this year - the judges have chemistry that is better than ever. I can understand why the ratings are increasing.

The 50+ woman who sang Skyscraper was exhausting. Thank god they didn't put her through.

She felt like a contestant that was better suited for "X-Factor" than this show in terms of how over-the-top she was.

I also didn't like the first woman who was the single mom. I was glad she didn't get through either despite her sob story.

I'm glad that Sylvia Yacoub made it through. Her song pick for the audition didn't show off her voice much. But, I heard power to it when I listened to it on iTunes. So, I watched previous videos of her singing on YouTube and really liked some of them.

So 15 minutes into the latest episode and I just realized why I watch this show. Adam is kinda awesomely funny in this???

IMO, this is the best, most entertaining season of the show yet.

Still stand by this. This season has been a blast and I'm still watching. Quickly lost interest in "X-Factor." This is definitely the superior show - mainly thanks to the judges' chemistry. I also think the contestants this year might be the most talented batch yet.

This show has become XTina's playground. Is she gonna sing all songs from Lotus now? Yawn...

Yeah, it's pretty ridiculous the level of promotion she's doing on this show.

Almost as ridiculous as how much it failed to work.

Anyone have favorites at this point?

I like Dez, Cassadee and Amanda. If I had to choose someone from CeeLo's team I'd probably choose Nicholas because he has the best voice, but his look creeps me out.

Cody is annoying and kind of unlikable.

I have no idea how Trevin got this far. He's so mediocre.

HATE Melanie and Terry.

How is Trevin making it this far?! I thought for sure he'd be a goner.

My favourites are the same as yours. Dez didn't have the biggest range or most powerful voice, but he had a great tone and worked that stage like a pro. It didn't hurt that he's DELICIOUS. Cassadee has had some solid performances (last week was especially good) and I don't see her losing the competition at this point. Amanda's by far the best vocalist, though, and has been turning out some stellar performances each week.

Too bad Dez got eliminated, I would have preferred to see Trevin go.

So Cassadee just won. I actually think she has the most potential for success of any of the winners thus far. I could see her actually breaking out.

Overall, this was a great season - I think it was the best yet and one where they clearly worked out a lot of the flaws present in seasons 1 and 2. I really don't think season 4 is going to be that great - Christina and CeeLo were both so fun to watch and I personally find both Usher and Shakira boring. But we'll see - I'm willing to give it a shot.
