I don't wanna see the real stats. I had a glance this morning. I managed to be matched-up against the top-scoring team of the league in my other three Yahoo-Leagues (one of them dropped 130 against my 100+) and in ours it is not looking good either

Fixed but this is your 1 do over. If the rest of the league disagrees with the change I will reset it.

Also no need to panic over the scores this morning.....

Per Yahoo- We are aware of the issue where many players are missing stats from yesterday, and we are currently working to resolve it. Thank you for your patience.

wow thanks a lot, i was kicking myself for the dumb mistake.

Yahoo keeps getting better each year... check out the new recaps feature

The Smurfs Gets By Any Given Sunday

The Smurfs (1-0) 215.50 _____ Any Given Sunday (0-1) 209.50

The Smurfs got 33.00 points from Julio Jones, edging Any Given Sunday, 215.50 - 209.50. The Smurfs got the win despite a good effort from Any Given Sunday, who scored 34.3% more than their projected 156.01 points. Philip Rivers led Any Given Sunday with 34.00 points while Frank Gore brought in 28.00. If Any Given Sunday didn't have four starters put up goose eggs, things could have been different. The Smurfs starts the season with a 1-0 record, good enough for third place. Any Given Sunday begins at 0-1 and in seventh place.

The Smurfs Smooth Moves

Julio Jones had the second-highest score of any WR in the league this week with 33.00 points.
With 17.00 points, Jermichael Finley had the third-highest score of any TE in the league this week.
The Smurfs had 11 of their 21 starters exceed their projected points.
The New England Patriots Defense overachieved by 110.8%, scoring 18.00 points against a projected 8.54.

Any Given Sunday Regret Tracker

Did not start Joe Flacco, who scored 36.00 points to rank 10th in the league in scoring.
Matt Bryant was left on the bench, where he bested his expected 8.20-point total by putting up 17.00 points.
Any Given Sunday was faced with 4 starters coming up empty in points.
The TE position was a letdown for Any Given Sunday, where they were outscored 17.00 - 6.00 by The Smurfs.
Even though Any Given Sunday lost, only 7 of their 21 starters scored less than their projected points.

What If

The Smurfs would have beaten eight other teams besides Any Given Sunday this week.
If The Smurfs had scored 73.01 more points, they would have beaten all teams in the league this week.
Any Given Sunday would have lost to just three other teams besides The Smurfs this week.
If Any Given Sunday had scored 56.51 fewer points, they would have lost to all teams in the league this week.

Game Notes

The Smurfs did not cover the 28.51-point spread, winning by 6.00 points.
The margin of victory of 6.00 points was the smallest in the league this week.
The Smurfs won even though Any Given Sunday performed better against their scoring projection. Any Given Sunday beat their 156.01 projected points by 34.3%, while The Smurfs outscored their 184.52-point projection by 16.8%.
With 215.50 points, The Smurfs scored the third-most points in the league this week.
With 209.50 points, Any Given Sunday had the highest losing score in the league this week.
Frank Gore was a bright spot for Any Given Sunday in the loss with 28.00 points, the third-highest RB score in the league this week.
In the loss, DeMarco Murray had the sixth-highest RB score in the league this week with 25.00 points.
Any Given Sunday got 57.00 points from their RBs, the second-highest combined scoring output from the RB position for any team this week.

I do enjoy the recaps feature. I used to do something similar though not as detailed for my league. I'm really happy that yahoo is making things more interesting with the recap and the pickems.

And

I did just get by but only because the defensive squad was garbage. Bwah.

cool

btw, i sort of like this league vis-a-vis my 'main' league

it's like fantasy football on steroids with the full defense, yard bonuses, etc.

plus, y'all actually TRADE. i'm always up for trades. in fact, whoever has RGIII -- make me an offer. :)

i did have to reject one of the recent trades...antonio brown and some defender for ATL's unproven, rookie backup RB and some defender? that's a little unfair. i think antonio brown will be huge this year as PIT doesn't have a run game and he's the main target...even moreso with this league's scoring

actually "some defender" is D'Qwell Jackson, a stud LB that i'm sorely in need of, while I have too many WR's rostered, so please don't vote against the trade

i'm not convinced 'stud' defensive players make a huge difference, though this is my first time

also not convinced that you are sorely lacking talent at that position -- or that d'qwell jackson is worth antonio brown, who was a 3rd/4th round pick in many leagues...

that said, i appreciate your explanation of the rationale behind the trade...

so league commish: you can reverse my rejection of the trade

Animosity, I would, but I've only got two (Foster and Bradshaw). We'd have to package some megatrade...

BTW, your team is almost identical to my team in my other league. I have Rodgers at QB, Richardson at RB, Decker at WR, and Gates at TE. Also have DeMarco Murray, Stevie Johnson, and Pierre Garcon. So that probably influences what I'd be willing to take from you for Foster :)

its funny how the drafts play out...I took Rodger in another league and who was the best available RB when my next pick came around? TRich....

Thx for the offer but Im happy with the trade, I lost Rodgers but I got my elite RB..the only downside I see is if Reggie explodes and Luck loves him he would have been a great keeper value next year since I grabbed him in the 6th round, but oh well...

Question for Thug (or anyone, really) regarding the Animosity/Alex trade (Rodgers + Wayne for Romo + McCoy):

It's not scheduled to go through until Saturday, but Rodgers plays Thursday. Does that mean Animosity gets to start Rodgers against me, then trade him away, and start McCoy against me as well?

I think it would, actually...

Commish: I vote against that trade, then. Not fair to trixster. Timing needs to be accelerated to tomorrow or Tuesday.

I believe that's correct.

No pushing through of trades. No one forced you to accept that trade so quickly. The trade wait time is well known before the season starts. If they both want to cancel it then that'd be acceptable.

That would be correct, I don't see an option to change the trade time.

What the hell is your problem with me? I'm speaking generally.

For the record, I did log on to vote against the trade. I don't think it's a fair deal if Animosity gets privileges to both hearts of the trade for this week. That wouldn't fly in the NFL. It gives a team a distinct competitive advantage (in this case over trixster) that would not exist if the trade happened right now or on Monday. I don't think the NFL was exactly thoughtful of fantasy football dynamics when it determined to start having football 3x a week, so...

I'm not gonna fight for trix over it (sorry trix), but it does set an uncomfortable precedent for future trades (eg, I need to kick you out of the playoffs, so I'm going to strike a deal that gives me a temporary lease on a stud)...besides, I can't see this being attractive to alexcuse

Looks like it was vetoed....

Don't forget to complete the league pick'em this week (Nghtvsn) and Trixster lead after the week 1 standings.

Set your line ups!!! On a side note did we ever decide on allowing the commissioner to set line ups in the event someone stops playing or forgets to do so?
