 Re: REVENGE
thompsoncory wrote: Last night's episode was really boring and pure filler. I can't wait for the final two episodes though. I'm inclined to agree, definitely the dullest episode of the season. On the other hand, I liked some of the small moments within it and I'm glad we were given a little more pre-REVENGEEEEEEEE Emily/Amanda backstory. The final two episodes should be great.

 Re: REVENGE
My wife and people on FB thought it was filler/boring but I quite liked it. Enjoy the throwback and filling in the gaps. It certainly rounds out the key characters and their motivations. Yeah sure we could have done without it but I enjoyed it.

 Re: REVENGE
I'm 8 minutes into the last episode and decided to come here to see what were your thoughts. So far it's dull as hell. So nothing happened? Ah well...

 Re: REVENGE
Ok....so the whole Nolan thing was a little silly...but the end...any thoughts on whether he will survive?
Sad episode too, but certainly changes many things.

Sad episode too, but certainly changes many things. I loved the Nolan thing. He'll definitely survive, he's arguably been the show's breakout character. I can't wait to see how Emily rescues him (probably). Also, Sammy the Dog dying was all kinds of sad. I'm not made of stone! The battles every episode between Victoria and Conrad might be my favorite part of the show. Madeleine Stowe is so great on this show.

I guess putting him in harms way certainly gets everyone's attention. I think Season 2's focus will be even more on Conrad vs Victoria - as well as Conrad and co. vs the faceless oranisation behind the plane downing. Couldnt be happier for Madeleine Stowe. Always liked her back in the 90s. Watched Steak Out recently (one of her early roles) and she was great. She deserves her renewed success after all these years.

 Re: REVENGE
Oh and poor Sammy - his final act was to bring the two together. That beach flash back scene with the happy kids, father and dog even made me choke up.

 Re: REVENGE
REVENGEEEEE. The finale was so.freaking.good. So much badassery, plot development and unanswered questions. Obviously Victoria did not die in the plane explosion because there is no show without her, but I can't wait to see how they explain everything. Is Emily's mother someone we've seen before? QUESTIONS.
This show has to be one of the biggest TV surprises in recent memory. Before it premiered, was anyone expecting it to be this awesome and entertaining? Can't wait for season 2.

The final montage with all the cliffhangers was fantastic.

^ Yeah, whoever picked "Seven Devils" by Florence + The Machine was on point.

Completely agree with everything you say here. I dont think ive watched a season finale this damn good for a long time. Just surprise after surprise, great action and a tasty setup for next season. Ive been waiting for some time now for Amanda's mother to surface. I suspect we'll get a well known actress in the role. Victoria wont die, Lydia probably will though. What an amazing first season. I do hope it continues to be this good.

I feel like it was almost an afterthought when it got picked up. I never saw it getting as much publicity and acclaim as it ended up getting, let alone being the "Desperate Housewives" successor. I'm going to rewatch the first season this summer. I think ABC is going to see a ratings spike if they end up promoting this show throughout the summer and allowing people to catch up.

I agree, no one paid any attention at all to this before it premiered. Even Ringer got significantly more advanced publicity (lol). Revenge and Ringer are actually fascinating case studies in opposite trajectories: Revenge literally did everything right that Ringer did wrong. Which is why one of them was renewed and moved to a prized time slot while one of them was unceremoniously canceled. And I agree, I feel like this show is sort of waiting to explode (as much as a show can "explode" in this age of reduced ratings). Maybe the summer break will work wonders.
