 Re: Desperate Housewives|Series Finale| May 13th
The second half of this season has been so odd. Other than Mike's death, I feel like there's been no real sense of urgency and everything is just sorta plodding along. You could never tell the series finale was 2 episodes away.
Still: can anyone believe Scott Bakula (aka Trip, Bree's lawyer) is 57? Good lord, that man does not age.

 Re: Desperate Housewives|Series Finale| May 13th
I agree, I thought we were going to get more of a sense of everything wrapping up. Even shows that were cancelled with little notice like "The O.C." and "Ugly Betty" had more of a sense of finality to them in the final episodes.

Yeah completely agree that the 1st half of the season was so intense yet the latter half has been very leisurely. In some ways 16 episodes would have been enough to wrap the season up. Offcourse, I'm hoping the last 3 will be epic.

 Re: Desperate Housewives|Series Finale| May 13th
Even though I've watched this show religiously for 8 years, I'm glad it's finally ending next week. Tonight's episode was a bit of a bore, and I just wish the latter half of this season had been more exciting than it actually was. I just hope the finale delivers.

http://www.hollywoodreporter.com/live-f ... her-321673Long story short, all of the other castmembers hate Teri Hatcher. Not too surprising. I knew Felicity/Eva/Marcia were close (especially the former two) and while I remember seeing Vanessa Williams mentioned in a positive light in a Hatcher interview (the only other one mentioned was James Denton) she's been at all the wrap parties and appearances for the final season.

 Re: Desperate Housewives|Series Finale| May 13th
I really wanna know what happened, it must have been something big. Something I read a while ago is that whatever happened, happened in season 6 and that was one of the main reasons why they moved Susan out of the lane so she would have less scenes with the other ladies.

 Re: Desperate Housewives|Series Finale| Tonight
Great finale. I loved the final five minutes - perfectly executed and I definitely teared up. The final scene when Susan drives away was very effective, as was Mrs. McCluskey's death.
And I liked the open end with the idea that a new mystery would begin on Wisteria Lane even after the women left.

 Re: Desperate Housewives|Series Finale| Tonight
I haven't watched since Edie's death, but I've kept up loosely on the show. I didn't watch the finale either, but it sounds like a fitting end.
Eva Longoria was on Bill Maher's show on Friday. Really intelligent and well-spoken. I was impressed by her.

I've really come to love Eva after following her on Twitter. She seems like a sweet person.

 Re: Desperate Housewives|Series Finale| Tonight
The final 10 minutes or so were PERFECT. The only thing that didn't do it for me is that it seemed all of them drove apart after they moved from the lane.

 Re: Desperate Housewives|Series Finale| Tonight
I've watched this show since the day it premiered in 2004 and have never missed a single episode. Throughout the many, MANY ups and downs, the one thing I never really doubted was how much I enjoyed watching Felicity Huffman, Eva Longoria, Marcia Cross and Teri Hatcher. And, as ready as I was for this series to wrap it up, I will miss seeing their performances on a weekly basis.
I really enjoyed the finale and that all the women got their various happy endings. And the last minute or so was a perfect callback to why this show seemed so fresh and enlightening when it first premiered: Wisteria Lane (i.e. the exaggerated world of the suburbs drawn up by this show) will always be full of mystery and intrigue.

 Re: Desperate Housewives|Series Finale| Tonight
What a great series finale. Pretty damn perfect. Its a shame that they all left the lane though but liked how a new occupant has come in with her own secrets - though I doubt they'll ever revisit the lane or spin it off.

 Re: Desperate Housewives|Officially Over
The finale was horrible. you guys are just being nostalgic. so much time wasted on stupid, pointless crap. Where were andrew, his sister, the scavo kids, orson (bree just thought he was going to killhimself), zach? where was the closure on the cop's death?
Yeah, the last five minutes were great. But five minutes devoted to the ending of the series?? come on!
I did love the return of Dana Delaney. she's amazing.
oh and I hope to see Vanessa Williams on a new show somewhere. I just love her!

She's on ABC's new show 666 Park Avenue next season.

 Re: Desperate Housewives|Officially Over
ABC had a deal with her ever since "Ugly Betty" ended - I'm pretty sure the character in "Housewives" was created just for her because at the time they couldn't find a suitable pilot for her to star in.

Really too bad. She was a great actress. I first noticed her when she guested on Scrubs ten years ago.

 Re: Desperate Housewives|Officially Over
I finally watched the series finale last weekend after a year and a half later, lol, great ending, but as someone here mentioned, what the fuck happened with some of the supporting characters?, and the idea of leaving the lane bothers me, I would have liked to see the girls getting older together
