I'm happy about the 90210 renewal.

This was made official, for 10 episodes, this morning.

"Law & Order: SVU" and "Touch" have been renewed.

"Alcatraz" and "The Finder" have been cancelled.

No surprise really, I figured Touch would get at least another 13 episodes, but they better off putting it on Monday to replace House.

Patrick Dempsey, Ellen Pompeo, Sandra Oh and Justin Chambers all just re-upped their contracts for "Grey's Anatomy" for two more years.

Wow, nice. I don't care what anyone says, I still really enjoy Grey's. So I guess it will go 10 seasons, pretty impressive.

"Cougar Town" has been renewed for two more seasons and is officially moving to TBS

"30 Rock" has been renewed for a seventh and final season of 13 episodes. Sad as its one of my favorite TV shows, but it will definitely be going out on a high note as this past season has been excellent and I have faith in Tina Fey and co.

Also, "Parenthood" got renewed for a 15-episode season 4

So... I don't get it. NBC is planning to start the season early, but they're ordering small # of episodes.

YES. I was actually a little worried about its renewal chances. Although I don't understand why it always has shortened episode orders. Maybe it's because it's expensive to produce and renewing it for a smaller amount of episodes is the only cost-effective solution? Dunno.

I think it's because they are ordering a lot of different shows to keep programming through the season without repeats (an approach I hear The CW is considering too).

Ed Helms, Jenna Fischer and John Krasinski just closed deals to return to "The Office" next season, so I'd expect a renewal announcement soon. Apparently one of the big holdups was the film commitments that Krasinski and Helms had, and NBC agreed to accommodate those.

I hope NBC makes it the last season too. The showrunner is leaving, Mindy Kaling will be gone since her pilot was picked up, Rainn Wilson is leaving for his spinoff - it's on its last legs.

This has been a pretty great TV renewal day for me between the news about Cougar Town and the renewal of Parenthood.

Now I just want to hear about Community/Parks & Rec and the ABC shows.

It was my understanding that they weren't starting every show early. Just a few select ones. Grimm is one, and that new show from the creator of Will & Grace will premiere in August as well. Can't remember the others.

The only ones that have been confirmed to have early start dates are "Grimm," the Matthew Perry sitcom "Go On" and the Anne Heche sitcom "Save Me." The Ryan Murphy-created "The New Normal" may as well.

Ah... I guess it makes sense to launch new shows. Not like OG will help their dieing dinosaurs. Also if they're launching Grimm that might mean they're trying to strengthen it up for another night...

Also I like this. More shows, smaller orders. Eliminate reruns as much as you can. Become more like cable networks.

Yeah, I've heard that this is why The CW is considering picking up almost all of their pilots in contention and giving them shorter orders.

Yay! Although I'm still sorta confused about this because 13 more episodes will bring them to 84. Are they not gonna do the extra four?

I'm sure the Parks and Rec renewal is coming shortly. It better be, at least.
