I actually feel bad for this show's viewers. CBS has treated it like the bastard redheaded stepchild of the network for its entire run. Eh, the fact that such a mediocore show got SIX seasons and an all but guaranteed TBS slot waiting for it one day is enough for its "fans".

"Body of Proof" received an order for 3 additional episodes, bringing its total order to 16 for the second season (21 if you count the 5 season one episodes that are airing this season).
"Pan Am" received an order for 1 additional episode, bringing its total for the first season to 14. ABC claims it is still in contention for a second season.
"Man Up" has essentially been cancelled and will receive no additional episodes beyond its 13-episode order.

Once Man Up ends Cougar Town will start in the spot after Last Man Standing.

Not sure if that is the best time slot for it. Last Man Standing has a family audience and Cougar Town is far from that. Of course they have nothing right now to team up with Allen's show.

Re: Renewed, Cancelled or Hiatus Bound: 2011 Edition
Updates from ABC: Don't Trust the B-- in Apartment 23 will premiere on Wednesday, April 11 at 9:30. Happy Endings will have apparently finished its season the week before that. Shonda Rhimes' new show Scandal will premiere Thursday, April 5 at 10, while Private Practice moves to Tuesdays at 10 for a month when that happens. Cougar Town still doesn't have an official launch date but is "tentatively in there for March, will be given a good launch pad, and the premiere date will be announced in a couple of weeks." http://www.tvline.com/2012/01/abc-cougar-town-schedule/The Cougar Town (ahhhhh GIVE IT A RETURN DATE already good lord) news reads to me as "we're waiting until Work It bombs out a couple of more times."

Re: Renewed, Cancelled or Hiatus Bound: 2011 Edition
I get the sense with Cougar Town and Community that the networks are just trying to see if it's actually worth putting anything else to replace them. Doesn't look like it'll work for either one, but I'll wait until Chelsea premieres tomorrow to determine that.

After seeing a clip today of Are You There, Chelsea? (worst title ever, completely mangling Handler's book title), it probably will be in the running for worst show of the season.

What's funny is that production is scheduled to begin on Cougar Town's season finale in a few days, despite the fact the premiere hasn't even been scheduled yet.
Oy.

I've watched both the first and second season over again during its hiatus to cope with its absence

USA renewed Psych for a 7th season!
Awesome news. I was worried that they'd cancel it, what with their 27 other shows on the air now. This will push it past 100 episodes.

Well its lead-in is Whitney which I can see doing only like a 1.5 and then Chelsea will probably do a 1.2.-1.3. Both will be off the schedule in a few of weeks.

Re: Renewed, Cancelled or Hiatus Bound: 2011 Edition
Mercifully, Work It has officially been put on hiatus/canceled after two episodes. FOR THE LOVE OF GOD, ABC, PLEASE PUT COUGAR TOWN IN THIS TIME SLOT. I beg of you. I'm cool with them waiting until mid-February to put the show back on the schedule if it means they're going to properly promote its return, though. http://www.tvline.com/2012/01/abc-cance ... y-replace/

Re: Renewed, Cancelled or Hiatus Bound: 2011 Edition
I wonder how reruns of Last Man Standing will do though. They may have been better off just airing the rest of Work It until Cougar Town is brought back.

To the surprise of no one, NBC will replace The Firm with Awake in the Thursday 10 PM slot beginning March 1. The Firm will move to Saturdays.
