Walk Off by Trumbo!!! Great way to avoid a sweep, but still, at 6 games behind, it's a longshot.

Thank goodness SF SUCKS, or else AZ would be in trouble.

Wow, what an inspirational comeback story by Jerome Williams. Gets his first win since 2005 after almost giving up the game. Happy we swept the O's, and once again, catching up to Texas.

Wow, the Angels looked like the Yankees today on the offesive side. The rubber match is going to be exciting to watch, especially with Weave on the mound, and ESPN is going to cover it.

The next 9 games (6 against TB, 3 against Boston) for Rangers is much more difficult than the next 10 games for Angels (7 against Seattle, 3 against Minn). Having a 3-game lead vs. 1-game lead is big going into this next few games.
All I want is for the Rangers to have at least a two-game lead going into the final series of the season. That way, all we need to do is win one game and we clinch the division.
It's going to def. come down to that last series though. I don't see either team having more than a two game lead over the other before that series. I agree, I think it may come down to the last series. Depending on where we both are in the standing, I will definetely get tickets to that series. Tonights game is a must win for the Rangers considering the tougher schedule they have versus our easy schedule. But then again, weirder things have happened in Seattle.

Say goodbye to the Cy Young, Mr. Weaver. (Not that you had a chance anyway)

Didn't expect a knockaround game like this, but they need to shake this off and play the Mariners like they always do.

Two HR's by Trout. Looks like he could be the difference maker the Angels need.

Re: 2011 Major League Baseball Discussion
Hey I already trademarked The Kramer. Looks like all the divisions are pretty much set. My beloved Indians have about an 8% chance to come back, and that seems to be the highest in the majors. Yankees, Sox, and Phillies are obviously the huge favorites to win the world series, so it will probably be Arizona that wins it all.

This will be a very interesting series this weekend, especially if the Yanks or Sox sweep or get sweeped.

Re: 2011 Major League Baseball Discussion
Is Haren the luckiest pitcher or what. Everytime he goes up against the opposing teams Ace, he gets a CG shutout (first Verlander, then Felix, and now CC). Once we knocked CC out in the 6th, it was over. Let's get that sweep.

Re: 2011 Major League Baseball Discussion
Wakefield finally get to 200 wins. And the sox go 18 runs for 18 hits. Papi is gone as Youkilis returns. Beckett is returning this week, and Bucholtz possibly before the month is out. The first part of the month has been tough for the Sox, but hopefully they can build back some momentum as they head into the post season. This game was a great start.

It's about time too, after like what...8 tries. Even with the win, it wasn't exactly a quality start either, since he won with all the run support he could get. He doesn't seem to be fooling anyone these days.
