That's devastating for The Contender. NBC was probably expecting ratings twice the size of that, possibly even higher.

I barely saw any advertising about it. Sure I knew it was gonna be on, but not watching NBC and not a boxing fan, I only saw a coupl eof ads here and there.

It seemed if there wasn't a commercial for the new Law and Order series, there was one for The contender, and I agree, that is a terrible debut.
