Post Re: 2010 NFL Discussion
On Sanchez, he is a weird QB.

Kinda think the Jets game plan really hurts him. As he can't play a slow game. He really needs to be able to just throw the ball more. Cause when he tries to ease balls in, he is usually off as compared to when he is firing the hell out of the ball. Then he has more success.

And with receivers like Holmes and Edwards, he had the good receivers to throw the ball to.

Ps. Did anyone hear what Ryan said about that 4 play screw up from the 2?

And on Ryan...

I know he said he had meetings with Sanchez, when Sanchez went a couple of games without scoring.

So what happened on special teams, mainly punting and field goals. I think the punting game might have been the worst part of the game...as the Jets never pushed the Steelers back on punts. And it has been bad for over a month.

Then in that 4 downs series. WTF happened on 2nd down where Sanchez was called to the sidelines, without using a time out, and then he rushed the play with like 1 second remaining.

Then the other horrible play calls in that series.

Lastly, how about figuring out a way to stop Mendenhall and Ben when he scrambles, especially on 3rd down... As those were the Steelers biggest weapons today.

no one cares about the Jets anymore. They Lost. Time to move on and talk about the teams playing in the Super Bowl. :D Like how the Packers will shred the Steelers d-backs all game long.

41-24 PACKERS! :D

The Steelers average points against is 14.5 in regular season and 21.5 in the post season......41 is bit high IMO.

I do agree though that the Steelers secondary can easily get torn apart by Rodgers and crew.

People are overestimating the Packers. Their O-Line is going to get smashed.

I still think they win... but like 20-17.

What happened? Did the best team in the universe win? Or did the Steelers prevail?

Nope cause the coach that you said was so good, f'ed up big time.

Anyway, both the Jets and Packers were in the game at the end.

So not even close, to the blowouts you mentioned.

Yes, the Packers WERE in the game at the end. Because they WON IT.

Also, most Jets fans thought they were going to win this game, easily. Obviously, most Jets fans are idiots.

Also, please tell me what Rex did that he "f'ed up big time"

The Jets had it. Poor play calls on that goal line for sure. They should have ran it every time. LT would have got in easily on that third down. After seeing today though, I don't think the Steelers have enough to beat the Packers.

Such a great game though, nice to see Ben and Sanchez take huge shots and be able to play great through them.

??????????????????????? Why LT, he didn't even run once that whole drive. it should have been GREEN 3 straight times - shit it was only from the 1!

2nd-5, NYJ42 15:00 M. Sanchez passed to D. Keller to the left for 19 yard gain
1st-10, PIT39 14:32 M. Sanchez incomplete pass to the right
2nd-10, PIT39 14:26 M. Sanchez passed to J. Cotchery to the right for 6 yard gain
3rd-4, PIT33 13:53 M. Sanchez passed to D. Keller down the middle for 6 yard gain
1st-10, PIT27 13:18 S. Greene rushed up the middle for 1 yard gain 2nd-9, PIT26 12:38 M. Sanchez rushed up the middle for 6 yard gain
3rd-3, PIT20 11:53 S. Greene rushed to the left for 2 yard gain
4th-1, PIT18 11:19 S. Greene rushed to the right for 2 yard gain
1st-10, PIT16 10:31 M. Sanchez rushed up the middle for no gain. M. Sanchez fumbled. M. Sanchez recovered fumble
2nd-18, PIT24 9:57 S. Greene rushed to the left for 16 yard gain 3rd-2, PIT8 9:20 M. Sanchez passed to J. Cotchery to the right for 6 yard gain
1st-2, PIT2 8:39 S. Greene rushed up the middle for 1 yard gain
2nd-1, PIT1 7:56 M. Sanchez incomplete pass to the right
3rd-1, PIT1 7:53 M. Sanchez incomplete pass to the right
4th-1, PIT1 7:44 L. Tomlinson rushed up the middle for no gain

HEY Fool, You COMMENTED ON IT!

Anyway, the way the Jets blew it from the 1st and Goal from the 2 - Most embarassing playoff series of all time

Including calling Sanchez to the sideline on 2nd down then rushing the play since they didn't call time out???????????????????

Using LT on 4th down! As stated above.

And to the Boston guy above....

Pittsburgh barely did anything on offense through the whole game.

They scored 1 TD on a defensive sack and a fumble.

Then 2 other scores came after bad Jet punts. (And this is after the Jets punter has punted like shit from for a couple of games.)

Only their opening drive was good!!!! And goes to show that the Jets weren't prepared!!!!! And the only reason that they got that, was because Ryan won the coin toss but decided to kick off! Fucking Pathetic.

PS> This is after Ryan fucked up the previous year when he let a 17-6 halftime lead get away!!!!!!! And that is with having the NFL's #1 defense in 2009!

SO STICK THAT UP YOUR ASS BANDWAGON, AS RYAN GOES DOWN IN FLAMES 2 YEARS IN A ROW >>>>>>>>> AS A BETTER COACH, WOULD HAVE WON 2 STRAIGHT SUPER BOWLS FOR THE JETS!!!!!!

Congrats to the Packers. The next Super Bowl Champion.

PS. I remember one day siting at the sports bar with a guy watching this game >>>>

Sun 12/5 San Francisco 49ers - Green Bay Packers. Green Bay wins 34 - 16.

And he is like I can't believe we picked that bum, Alex Smith #1 in the draft! And Aaron Rodgers was picked like 24 in the draft that year!

PS 2. Just looked at the 2005 draft results...and the unlucky Redskins had the 25th pick....and they got stuck with Jason Campbell instead of Aaron Rodgers.

Grill, I already explained to you that Rex Ryan does not call the plays. He will say "Go for it on 4th down, run it" But that is IT. Those plays had NOTHING to do with him.

No Grill, it is because ratingswise this has been the best football season ever. Of course there will be records in the playoffs.

And by the way: The Steelers have the bigger fanbase, even in NY the Jets are only second fiddle

so what was Ryan doing when Sanchez went to the sidelines on the 2nd down, while the clock was running.

And isn't Ryan the one who calls timeout.

and then Ryan called LT to run it.
