How would 2 points have helped them? They still would've needed another TD.

Damn. Too bad the Jets didn't knock down that 1st down throw. Guy missed by a second. Then they would have had 2 minutes to score.

PS. Has anyone on Pittsburgh played well today besides Mendenhall?

Wow, this will be a big ratings grabber as the teams with the top two fanbases (according to ESPN) are going to the Superbowl. Who to root for, I am not sure.

I'm torn on Pitt winning. I like them much better than I like the Jets, so if they beat my Packers I won't be as upset. But at the same time I consider them a more dangerous team than the Jets and more capable of beating us.

Should be a very fun Superbowl

Congrats Pitt and GB!

What a difference from last week. The Jets have gone from flips to sobbing. :funny:

Falling sooo close to playing in the SB would make anyone cry.

That goal line stand was big.
At least the Jets D shutout the Steelers offense in the 2nd half. ;)

Don't worry about him... As he is only a crybaby Pats and Red Sox fan.

Anyway, jets are just missing the right leader to pull the team together.

Think most will agree that the Jets blew this game... Instead of Pittsburgh really deserving this win.

Both teams played one good half of football. The Steelers had a better first half than the Jets second half and they had two key throws to ice the game on that final drive. The Jets were never in control of the game, so no, they didn't blow it...unless you want to count completely not showing up in the first half as blowing it.

So much for their "second" "second biggest game in Jets history". :funny:

The Jets need to make it easier on themself by getting a bye-week in the playoffs.
Having to play 3 games in a row is just too big for this team.

Last two team to do it and win the SB were the Colts in '06 & Steelers in '05.

I actually loved the game...I thought that outside of Big Ben's performance (major choke in light of all the editorials over the past week), the game sort-of showcased both team's strengths.

At the very least, it was a better game than the GB/CHI one.

How did Mendenhall not get player of the game?

He was the only player on Pittsburgh to really play well.

On TV, they mentioned the guys who sacked Sanchez and the one who returned it for a TD.

Guess they also feel that there weren't a lot of Pittsburgh players who played well.

The Jets had it. Poor play calls on that goal line for sure. They should have ran it every time. LT would have got in easily on that third down. After seeing today though, I don't think the Steelers have enough to beat the Packers.

Such a great game though, nice to see Ben and Sanchez take huge shots and be able to play great through them.

Vegas makes the Packers three point favorites for the Superbowl. To me this game is a coin toss

Wow Another Jealous Fool. I am fine with it as both teams came close to the wins. Much closer than anyone expected during the games. And considering the leads that the Packers and Steelers had, they were both lucky to win. As neither Rodgers nor Ben did a lot in the 2nd half.

Especially with the Bears using the 3rd string QB and the Jets blowing the game with some horrible play calling.

But Ben came up huge with a couple of big 3 and 4 down plays.

And the Jets, under Ryan sure didn't.
