My impression of Duke has always been one of kids in the 1% of the 1% that qualify for the tax cuts.
Yeah. Things get really crazy over at College Park. Hell, they get pretty crazy at my school, too. Do you remember last year? Everyone woke up early in the morning after long days of supposed studying and rushed over to the stadium.
The fan thing at the end of the game was really funny.

Poor Ross.
Your Terps are getting drilled right now. What's with the inconsistent play? At least my Ducks suck every game.

It always happens.
They beat the teams they're not supposed to beat and get squashed by the teams they're supposed to be able to beat.
It's just a thing in MD and DC. The teams are never consistent. Maryland used to be our most reliable team but now it's so on-and-off that I don't even keep track of the records.

I'm ashamed to say I live in Maryland...
They've got to beat either UNC or Virginia to get an invitation...

ACC is all screwed after the top 3.
We're looking at a No. 3 seed unless we can beat UNC in Chapel Hill in the finale. How the heck did we lose to VT? ](*,)
Maryland is in barring a total collapse. They have one of the top 10 toughest schedules in the country, and after Sunday, they are and will be the only team that swept Duke in the ACC. 8-8 or 7-9 with a win in the ACC tournament will get them in.
I still see ACC getting 5 teams in, but all the other teams - Georgia Tech, Miami, NC State, and VT - have a lot of works to do.

i still feel as much as the ACC has the top 3 teams as far as any confrence goes, the Big East may be the best overall. possibility of 7 teams in the tournament... idk just an opinion.
probably bias because i live for uconn basketball.
im DESPERATELY hoping they pop in as a 4 seed. i dont want them in the killer 5.

Big East is great, and they have done very well in the tourney recently, and they will be even better next year with all the conference USA teams joining.
There isn't really a dominant team this year. Illinois has been great, but Big-Ten is not very good this year. BC doesn't scare anybody, and Kansas just lost 3 straight and have played a lot of close games. Only UNC has shown the talents to blow people out on a regular basis when they are on with a starting up full of potential NBA players, but Roy Williams still has a lot to prove in March, and I still feel they are soft and going to choke somewhere. Wake Forest's defense is weak, while Duke is like Seattle of NBA, relying on 3-pointers and basically 6 players. Kentucky has shooting problem too. Lousville got blown out at home by Memphis, while OU lost to NU on Tuesday.

which will all make for an interesting tourney, its a matter of WHO is gonna step up to the plate and dominate. UNC if playing at their best is my pick to win it all

It also means one player can carry a team to win it all, but who will be this year's Carmelo? I'm hoping Reddick can stay hot for 3 weekends, but it's probably too much to ask. He deserves to be on the first team All-America though.

It's getting exciting. The Terps allowed VATech to get, like, 13 consecutive points and now they're right back in it.
Good game so far

I'm pulling for Maryland. They are coming back, and then allow VT to score 6 straight points. :???:

Illinois loses their first game to The Ohio State University by 1. A backup named Sylvester hit a 3 pointer, to make his total 25 point, wiht 5.1 seconds left. Good job OSU.

Bah at Maryland...
At least Duke lost, since UNC is sooo much better.
On another note, my own high school b-ball team made the state finals and they're playing there (Comcast Center at UMD) on Thursday. It's craaazy, as, we're actually ALLOWED to leave school early for the game (excused 'n all...).
