Re: 2010 Major League Baseball Discussion
Did you guys hear the Bengie Molina wins a ring no matter who wins. According to MLB standards, anyone on the Roster at the start of a season will win a ring if the team he got traded to both make it to the World Series. And since he started as a Giants and ended as a Ranger, and the fact he played with the Giants in more games than with the Rangers, he is allowed to accept a ring no matter who wins. He becomes the first person in history to be on both team that made the World Series in the same year, therefore, this rule never had to be used until now. Nice history, heh?

Rough night for Lee. His motion was off from the first pitch.

Neither starting pitcher made past 6th inning, and 12 runs already scored; who would've thought.

Game 2 tomorrow is a must-win. Too Bad the Yanks didn't win Game 6 to face Lee in Game 7 Or maybe he was just hurt by the 8 day lay-off?

Re: 2010 Major League Baseball Discussion
My goodness, what a high scoring game. And they predicted a pitchers duel, but instead, we see a little league game.
And yes, this is must win for Texas to have a chance, since they have never won a game at AT&T park, ever (yes, they got swept both times they visited this park in interleauge, including last year). And funny that they called the Giants misfits at the beginning of the game. My mom got a kick out of that. But still, this was an ugly game on both sides pitching wise and defensively, with Texas's being more costly. Hopefully I see an A game tomorrow, cause this game was a little too long.

Let's Go Frisco. More Later. But as no one else gave them a chance over Philly and that will make DAAAAA Gun wrong on every pick this year. LOL.

No Score. God, don't you hate when teams get lucky and suck in the World Series or the Championship game. Just like the 2007 Patriots, the 2004 and 2007 Red Sox. Right, DAAAAA Munk and DAAAA Gun.

No 'luck' involved, Grill. Nobody even said anything about 'luck'.
The 16-0 2007 Patriots 'lucked' into the Super Bowl?

Re: 2010 Major League Baseball Discussion
What? SF had, what some would have argued, the best pitching staff in baseball. The only question was their batting, which was iffy.
And the Rangers have Cliff Lee. Nothing "lucky" about either of these teams making it.

Re: 2010 Major League Baseball Discussion
Just meant it should have been the Yanks and Phillies in the WS.
And Lee sure wasn't up to it in Game 1. Guess he was lucky not to face the yanks in Game 7. Maybe his arm went dead?
And even though I said Frisco had a chance against Philly. Philly probably should have been here.
And sorry but the Patriots weren't that good, as the Giants basically played them to even in 2 games that year.

Re: 2010 Major League Baseball Discussion
So the Giants weren't that good. I mean, if they could only play a not good team to even, must mean they're not good.
And Lee was just off, nothing with his arm. Delivery and location. And there is a reason for playoffs, to find out who the best team is.

Because the home team held serve?
This series does not even start until someone loses at home.

Re: 2010 Major League Baseball Discussion
Washington still hasn't figured out when to use Neftali Feliz. He should have at least been warming up earlier when Holland was wild to try to keep the game close. It's shown over and over again that the rest of Texas bullpen have trouble getting people out in the playoff.
Anyway, time for The Big Bang Theory.

Outside of the two blowup innings, this series is 7-7 in runs scored.

Re: 2010 Major League Baseball Discussion
It might be me, but if I were a Rangers fan I'd be pretty damn happy. Sure they're down 0-2, but they've won their first pennant (let alone first playoff series) and this one is far from over. Winning three in Texas is going to be pretty steep, but it's possible.

Re: 2010 Major League Baseball Discussion
The scenario I'm expecting: Rangers to win Game 3 with the home field and Sanchez's wildness, then Giants win Game 4, and then Lee pushing the series back to S.F. with a gem in Game 5. Finally Cain closes it out in Game 6 and wins the MVP.
