 Re: 2010 College Football Season
More and more allegations against Cam Newton from different sources. I think his Heisman campaign is toast and he'll probably have to bend to the pressure before the season is over. Auburn will not go to the National Championship in my opinion

Auburn will not go to the National Championship in my opinion I don't want to diss him because he has been an amazing player this season, but there are other very good players out there who have not had Any incidents or Any possible hints at anything questionable yet voters like Herbstreit are possibly going to vote for him anyway even if his heisman is taken away down the road. What's wrong with these people? As far as the NC goes, if the NCAA drags it's feet on this Auburn may end up stealing a spot and potentially get it taken away just like USC and it's BCS title with Bush, but all after the face which would be very disappointing since TCU or Boise would have been robbed of something special.

Hilarious how some people think it's a "witch hunt" because he's the Heisman frontrunner.
You didn't see this when Denard was the frontrunner.

It still amazes me that Denard is "out of the running" despite having better stats than Newton, in far less playing time.

Watching the Boise State game. Idaho was just coming out for a first down, I turned the channel to the OKC game for ONE possession, turn back and Idaho is punting.
WTF.

Auburn is a fraud (and uses an illegal player), TCU is a fraud. Boise deserves a shot at the championship.
And Wisconsin is just pathetic to run up the score like this

 Re: 2010 College Football Season
Virginia Tech continues to help Boise State, and hopefully OSU could salvage their season and do the same against Oregon in the end. On the other hand, Utah didn't do any favor for TCU by laying a egg against ND today.

And Wisconsin is just pathetic to run up the score like this We don't know if he's ineligible yet. Apparently his dad inquired but his wife and Cam didn't know about it. How is TCU a fraud? They are dominating their conference as they did last year. They can't help it if Utah has turned into Va Tech. I do think Boise still deserves a chance should things work out but Auburn or Oregon has to lose for that to even be possible.

And with Utah losing it takes a lot of the thunder. If you put Boise and TCU side-by-side I'd give Boise the edge, very easily

 Re: 2010 College Football Season
I would have given Boise the edge anyway. They have already beaten this TCU team last year.
Also, TCU still deserved credit for ending Utah's home streak.
Finally, Utah losing a road game to ND has no relevance to me on whether Boise or TCU or mid majors in general having weak schedules. Utah simply lost a road game and they aren't at the same level as TCU or Boise this season.

 Re: 2010 College Football Season
Well, Boise is back to #3 in the human polls and will probably be extremely close to the TCU in the BCS poll. Unfortunately, it's looking more and more like Oregon and Auburn just aren't going to lose a damn game.

 Re: 2010 College Football Season
Good weekend. Boise dominated, Virgina Tech won against Miami, Nevada manhandled New Mexico, LSU is struggling. Boise should jump back over TCU to #3 and probably even narrow the margin to the first two teams

Denard Robinson sets the QB record for rushing yards. And first player ever to pass for 2000 and rush for 1500.
Ridiculous.

Oregon State is finally playing a good game to help out Boise a little as well. And Utah has become a joke.

 Re: 2010 College Football Season
It's puzzling how Utah was ranked this week after it's last two games. Just shows how the polls suck too.

Oregon is really lucky. They play Oregon State after they have to meet two good teams in USC and Stanford. OS will probably be worn down for that final game

 Re: 2010 College Football Season
I'm gonna love this college football week. Check out these matchups.
I think Auburn is going down. They've been lucky on the road all season, they are playing with an ineligible player, lots of distraction and a hostile environment equal an Alabama blowout.
Arizona has fallen apart lately but I think Oregon will get a tight game. Boise is going to be in a shootout, but they will prevail.
Perhaps one of the biggest bedlam games in the series will be played this Saturday between OU and OSU. This time I think OSU is just a bit better than OU. They've been able to score on any team all season and OU has had trouble on the road regardless of last night's performance against Baylor.
Finally, LSU at Arkansas is the game that gets LSU out of the way of passing the non-AQs as well. LSU has truly been lucky...literally. This is the kind of luck that gets you to a special season. It's straight up miracle luck and they will get out scored at Arkansas this time.

I think Auburn will win out because of the Cam Newton discussions. He'll be more desperate to perform. And Oregon will win out as well because the schedule is favorable

 Re: 2010 College Football Season
I think what Alabama needs to do is focus on stopping the run which will neutralize Cam's happy feet. Then just hope your secondary holds up against his passing. Also, run the ball alot and keep him off the field.

 Re: 2010 College Football Season
Bama just needs to blitz a LOT. Bring pressure from every direction. Make Cam throw it from the middle of the pocket. Bama can run it up and down the field. Auburn's defense is terrible.
