Post The Good Wife | Season 2
I can't believe there wasn't a season 1 thread? Does nobody watch this? It's seriously awesome. It seems like season 2 hits it right out of the ballpark - currently having a 92/100 review average on Metacritic. :noway:

Crazy. It was definitely one of the best dramas last season for me.

This show is absolutely wonderful. And the season premiere was no exception. Definitely the best drama on network TV right now.

Yeah great premiere. The opening scene was awesome. I was ready to start rolling my eyes when Will called Alicia and left the first voice message. But then he called her again and I was like thank God. But then that bastard did what he did and I was like - oh this won't end well for anyone...

I do like that they've done three things some shows would base a season on in a opening scene. And the case was pretty good. Heck there were red herrings thrown out one after another - I had no clue if he did it or is he really just trying to sell his unbelievable theory.

Also the show has taken La Femme Nikita way of naming the episode. All season one episode have one word in heir name, and season two episode have two obviously.

Also that sex scene was sooooooo intense. It can put to shame much more vivid sex scenes on cable...

The second and the third (especially this one) episodes were amazing. I love this show.

Wow, "Cleaning House" was firing on all cylinders, wasn't it? One of the best episodes so far.

I agree. So gripping. After next week there's a one week hiatus. I think we'll have some sort of a biggish cliffhanger. It should be a great episode as well.

It's pretty much safe to say that the only show that constantly delivers great things week to week is The Good Wife...

The mystery and the confusion surrounding the addendum drama in the opening minutes was the most mysterious and compelling story device I've seen in years on TV. Brilliant episode.

Yep. The Good Wife's quality is absolutely unparalleled among network dramas. Every episode is just fantastic, and last night was no exception.

The last episode (Breaking Up) was the first really disappointing and probably my least favorite episode of TGH ever! The case was boring and not much happened. I really didn't care about Alicia's brother. It seemed like a filler for emotional/relationship/family part of the show because they decided not to advance any of the main character plots this episode. Hopefully this is only a minor (so far only and let's keep it that way, eh TGH?) bump.

Last night's episode was excellent and a return to form for TGW.

Such a great episode. Glad Will and Diane reconciled, and I can't wait to see the chess game between them and Bond.

Also, it was fun to see Alicia get uncharacteristically angry for once.

It might've been perfect if the new DA's investigator wasn't so annoying. I was rolling my eyes every time he was on screen. This is like the first time I didn't like a TGW character. And also he seemed like a male version of the character they already did - Martha Plimpton's Patti.

But the rest of the episode was superb just as the usual TGW standard.

And the ending. Oh my... I loved how it was so subtle. Just open doors. There wasn't an annoying music montage where suddenly the music would drop down a few notches, Julianna would turn and ask "Are you coming." and then the music would come back even louder than before and we would watch them two rolling in the bed while some shitty and cheap pop/rock song played. No it was just open doors. And that was enough. Seriously it does not get any better than this.

Of course. The music montage just HAD to happen this week. LOL.

But still a great episode. I love all the intricacy inside the firm.

I'm getting a little tired of bowing down to the awesomeness of this show every single episode. That scene with Kalinda and Blake=omg

I was on this show, not one of my better experiences, I kind of have no interest in ever watching it. But I saw a episode and it wasn't horrific, just can't get into another show I'm not into to begin with.

I'm glad there's a show I can bow down to every week.

OMG Yeah. I thought Archie Panjabi's win at last year's Emmy's was kind of a what the fuck, she really didn't have any big scenes and despite me loving TGW and pretty much everyone in it I didn't think she had a strong case for herself, but this season she has been kicking ass left and right... She should definitely pick up another one this year.

Let's count the number of great things about this episode, shall we?

-America Ferrera and life after Ugly Betty...can't wait to see where they go with this and how Eli's gonna respond
-Diane and Gary Cole
-Alicia being all sassy with Grace ("I'm going to go back to my crack pipe")
-The upcoming multifaceted battle between Will/Diane and Bond

Seriously Emmy should go to TGW this year. Period.

To echo Libs:

It's really a perfect thing to say about this show. I almost don't want to write about how great it is. If this gets cancelled I will definitely be interested to see what the Kings' do for their follow up show...

Agreed. Another perfect episode last night...this show is entirely deserving of the Best Drama Emmy this year.

I agree. I just finished the episode and actually said "holy crap" out loud. Kalinda! Peter! Affair! That shakes up like every storyline on this show simultaneously. Like, how is this going to affect Alicia and Peter when it inevitably comes out? ALICIA AND KALINDA?! So many interesting dynamics there...my heart broke a little bit for Alicia, but this affair was also before Kalinda knew her. Ahhhhh. Amazing.

Also, Archie Panjabi in the last scene...wow. Emmy #2?

Plus, I loved the little phone convo between Alicia and Cary near the end of the episode. Reminded me of their friendly rivalry in the first season when they both worked at Lockhart-Gardner, and I hope Cary comes back to the firm.
