So hopefully either CC or Petiette can steal a game or 2 at Texas Stadium....then the Yankees can win it at Yankee Stadium, just like the WC round. It's called the Rangers Ballpark in Arlington. Texas Stadium was the old stadium the Cowboys played at. The new stadium is called Cowboys Stadium. Get it right, Grill! OK. Thanks. I will file this for next year as I don't expect the Rangers to be around for more than another week this year.

Re: 2010 Major League Baseball Discussion
So Krem, are you scared on the Giants pitching staff at all, especially since Philly didn't hit good in the last series.
And DAAAA Gun, what are your thoughts on the Texas Yankee series, please post something as I need something to LOL at.

Yankees and Phillies in 5. If Texas had been able to close out Tampa in 3 or 4 it would be completely different. Not having Lee till game 3 is gonna kill them.

I don't think the Yankees have anything clinched now. We could easily sweep KC and rock the Angels a third time. If the Yankees keeps struggling next weekends matchup could be very interesting. Yanks are 7-3 over last 10 games so not really sure how they are struggling? Also with like a 5/6 game lead, who knows if they are cruising alittle. Well as I think DAAAA Gun has checked himself into the looney bin after banking on so many crazy baseball thoughts this year. Like the Yankees would choke and miss the playoffs and be overtaken by team after team that kept on failing: the Red Sox, the White Sox, Texas, Minny going to the World Series. LOL! Even thinking that the whole Press Box was saying that the Yankees won't win. Yes Poor Poor DAAAA Gun. Anyway, I wanted to check out what he was saying in Sept 2009 as the Yankees steamrolled through the year....to see if he was less crazy last year. Sorry to say but Nope. As he was ranting the same way, in the above post from last Sept 2009, when I clearing had to smack him down and say WTF are you talking about, you are clueless. As how are the Yankees struggling when they are 7-3 in their last 10 games? DAAAA Gun!!!! Next I am curious what he said in the playoffs as the Red Sox choked to a 3-0 series and the Yankees cruised to a World Series Championship. DAAAA Gun!!!! Edit. Checked it out and just like this year, whenever DAAAA Gun was going to be wrong, he disappeared. As in 2009, he never posted in the playoffs. As the Yankees steamrolled to the World Championship. And the Red Sox were embarassed by a 3-0 playoff sweep by the Angels. Sweet.

Texas will give NYY a battle. No less than 6 games, IMO.
Also... the scheduling EVERY YEAR in the playoffs is TERRIBLE.

Think the 1st 2 games in Texas will tell how long the series will go.
Hopehully the Yankees can win the 1st 2 to set the tone.
And also Hamilton has to play better. Wonder if he is still hurting?

How can a team dominate so much and just always falter in the post season against a single team, still fun to give them an edge, but wow that is choking on a Yankee '10 September level. Yankees will still not repeat! Grill, the entire Press Box agrees!
I'm done though, texting this on the Berry, Enjoy your Saturdays everyone. Tomorrow Tomorrow, I love that Tomorrow is only a day a way. And then it will be time for the New York Yankees. And DAAAA Gun, have you come to grips yet that the Yankees were playing possum with that mini losing streak at the end of the year...mainly for resting players. A team doesn't stop being the best team in baseball for 2 straight years, just overnight.

Yankees in 6 Phillies in 6
Hope I'm wrong with the Yankees pick (and I might be overrating how they pitched against the Twins, since the Twins offense without Morneau is pretty awful), but I like their starting three right now, especially Hughes. If Hughes pitches as well as he did against the Twins, I sadly really like the Yankees chances.

Re: 2010 Major League Baseball Discussion
Well Game Day.
Also to all who are saying Lee's 2 wins are automatic. Not really true. As he can still lose when he pitches a good game or he can have a rare bad game. Who knows?
PS. And I am the one who said the Phillies would have done as well keeping Lee over Halladay, (or keeping both) as I think Lee is a great pitcher but that doesn't mean he will be great every time out.

Well, thank you captain Obvious Of course Lee can lose, but he gives the Rangers an undeniable edge over the Yankees.

But just trying to educate the clueless as all of the above have already marked both Lee starts as Ranger wins. Right DAAAAA Gun! Anyway, well at least Lee will be facing Petiette 2 times, who has the most post sesaon wins ever, so at least the Yankees will have a pitcher where nerves won't be a problem to match Lee.

Re: 2010 Major League Baseball Discussion
Cell Phone is dying so probably only comment.
Replay the first inning. Umpire gives Texas a break
Texas hit corners like 5 times, all called strikes.
CC hit corners like 5 times, all called balls.
Then CC has to start come right over the center of the plate.
Like I said replace the umpires with a beeper.
Funny, in this inning he starts to call them evenly. After giving Texas a 3-0 lead.
