Re: 2010 Major League Baseball Discussion
Wow. Just realized Price is facing Lee in Game 5 Tuesday.
That is going to be a BIG/GREAT GAME.
Hopefully, this will be a 0-0 game through 10 innings, so both pitchers will be worn out and not be able to start to Game 3 against the Yankees. (Price might be able to go Game 2, Maybe?)
And Lowe is pitching Game 5 today. Wonder how Lowe's experience will come through tonight?

Re: 2010 Major League Baseball Discussion
So on Tampa and Texas, who did you think is stronger? I am thinking Texas is stronger in both pitching and hitting.
So I am rooting for Tampa and Price.
And on SF and Atl, Guess SF is stronger?

Glad Frisco won tonight. Now they get to at least set up their pitching staff with Lincecum and Cain, etc.............

That was nice of the Giants to salute Bobby Cox, as he is now retiring for good.
I love to see the Doc and Freak matchup.

The matchup of the year is all set now. The Freak vs. Doc. Can't wait. Until CC vs Doc in the WS!

I love to see the Doc and Freak matchup. Scottie, we need a Game 5 breakdown from you on Lee Price. and who do you think would be tougher for the Yankees right now, Texas or Tampa.

Re: 2010 Major League Baseball Discussion
I read an article saying that Tampa will be tougher on the Yankees. Reasons.
1. Tampa has a full 5 man rotation that has the capability of kicking their butts, as they have the best 5 man rotation after the Oakland A's.
2. A much stronger bullpen.
3. Tropicana field. The fake turf is tough on the outfields, and the white roof can distract them. Not the mention the Catwalk groundrules can hurt some of the power hitters.
4, and most important, the stolen bases. They will steal alot of bases cause Posada does not have the best throwing arm.
The problem with Texas is that without Lee, they may not keep up. The sweep they got was because they got to face Burnett, Vazquez and Moseley. They have proven themself against CC nor Hughes. They do have a winning record against Petettite however.
Therefore, according to a poll, 73% of all the Yankee fans want Texas to win.

How can a team dominate so much and just always falter in the post season against a single team, still fun to give them an edge, but wow that is choking on a Yankee '10 September level. Yankees will still not repeat! Grill, the entire Press Box agrees!
I'm done though, texting this on the Berry, Enjoy your Saturdays everyone. Come on Gun, I still need to verify this. Who is everyone that was in the Yankee Press Box? Anyway, did this really happen? Or was it like on Seinfeld where Kramer found the stuff for the TV talk show in the garbage. And then Kramer did the the new show from his living room. LOL. Also Gun, that is so stupid it can't be true. As I also have been in the Press Box and know it holds a lot of seats. So on a day that Hughes pitched a 3 hitter and clinched the WC, you went down the Press Box and asked everyone if they thought the Yankees would win the WS. And no one said Yes. LOL. * PS. Everyone excited for Lee Price today?

Re: 2010 Major League Baseball Discussion
True Tampa would be tougher on the Yanks but all Texas fans want tonight is for the Rangers to finally win a fucking playoff series. If they can do that than this season has been a success (Divison champ & win a playoff series). Of course after that we'll still be rooting for them to go all the way.

Re: 2010 Major League Baseball Discussion
OK, I will root for Texas tonight.
Well I was most scared of Texas starting Lee in Game 1 and then pitching part of 2 more games.
But looking at the stats doesn't Texas have more hitters that can beat you. Hamilton, Vlad, Kinsler, Cruz etc...if they are hot?
And Tampa played like shit for the last 2/3 weeks of the season.

Tampa Bay Rays have the ugliest baseball stadium out of the playoff teams.

Umpire gives Tampa pitcher a very border line strike out on a 3-2 pitch. maybe costing Texas a big inning.

Re: 2010 Major League Baseball Discussion
See this is the Texas team that I thought had some good hitters on the team. Cruz and Kinsler made some nice hits.
And this is the Lee that I didn't want to face in the WC Round.
But the Yankees fooled everyone, especially DAAAAA Gun (Gun's New Name) by losing the title to Tampa. and the Plan continues to work out perfectly for the Yankees.

Cliff Lee Great through 7 innings. But has thrown 100 pitches. Will he go into the 8th?

Anyway, with Lee throwing 120 pitches in 9 innings, is there any chance he goes early against the Yankees. Cause if he doesn't than I think he can only pitch Game 3 and 7 on regular rest. Sweet. And DAAAA Gun, it is all still coming along based on my great plan. (As I told you before the season ended, that the WC would be OK). Especially since the Yankees were only resting players and not choking as you were saying. Plus they were waiting for Petiette to get back to re-start the pitching staff. SWEET!

Re: 2010 Major League Baseball Discussion
Why is everyone picking against the Yankees? So unfair. But remember DAAAAA Gun already picked Texas so you guys are going to lose. LOL!!!!!
Anyway, what do yoiu guys think of the 2 3 2. So hopefully either CC or Petiette can steal a game or 2 at Texas Stadium....then the Yankees can win it at Yankee Stadium, just like the WC round.
PS. Thanks to the Red Sox and jmart and DAAAAA Gun for helping the Yankees set up the playoffs so Perfectly.

Texas Stadium was the old stadium the Cowboys played at. The new stadium is called Cowboys Stadium. Get it right, Grill!
