As Ortiz was congratulated for his 100 RBI season...

Arod homers for another 30 homer and 100 RBI season. Which is like 14 in a row. And he missed 30 games.

Talk about a great player. Congrats to Arod.

Meanwhile Phillies are engaged in Fall Training down in DC.

Only two of the regulars started the game, and one of them - Jimmy Rollins - just came back from the injury so he needs the at bats. They still win 7-1 and Joe Blanton shows that he can be a great pitcher when it doesn't matter :)

The Yankees have to be kicking themselves now. Now they can't rest CC, as they'll want to clinch. CC, Pettitte, Hughes, and AJ, and Rivera all had terrible games in a row. Are you really not worried about the pitching Grill? Yankees are usually clutch but they are hurting bad, and will at least need 4 good starters for the playoffs this year.

Tigers 13-6
Rangers 12-8
Red Sox 11-8
Angels 11-8
Rays 10-11
White Sox 8-13
Yankees 7-14

Any more updates coming as I think the Yankees number is 8. You can't stop it in the middle.

And I hear the Yankees will give CC some rest so the above isn't correct either.

PS. Not worried about Yankee pitching. CC or Petitte or Hughes.

And is everyone still picking Tampa and Minny and Texas over the Yanks?

I know Arod will have something about that.

So anyone want to finish this chart, as Gun supposely a big baseball fan stop doing when the Yankees made the Playoffs and the Red Sox were eliminated.

Still trying to decide who I want the Yanks to play first. Minny or Texas. Kind of hoping they get Minny first. As Lee scares me and since Gun picked Minny. I know Gun is always wrong.

And sorry Gun; no 90 wins for the Red Sox as Beckett sucked again last night. So unless the Red Sox sweep the Yanks, no 90 wins for the Red Sox.

Not sure if I want to face Cliff Lee 2 times.

And the M & M boys from Minn have been hurt. Who knows how they will come back.

*

Also Arod is now only 4 RBIs from the MLB lead.

Boy lots of Teams are Playing Bad.

I just never noticed as all Gun cared about was bitching about the Yankees...and no one else.

Anyway, what's wrong with Tampa, Minny and Texas as none of them are playing good either?

Big Series coming up. Yankees take 2 out of 3 and I proved Gun wrong on everything he predicted and commented on.

Wouldn't care but it is so much fun to put a Red Sox fan/Yankee hater in his place.

Minny, Tampa lose. Yankees rained out.

Yankees still have the best record in AL after almost 160 games.

What would Gun say? Maybe God is still helping the Yankees. LOL.

Weaver is the strikeout king in the Majors (assuming Felix does not start Sunday on short rest). At least the Halos have one thing to remember this year. And boy, tonights game had one wild ending, but a happy one.

Yankees at Boston. And all of the Clueless Ones Predictions can be wrong tonight!

LOL!

But that is why he left the Baseball Forum and is now only at the Football Forum.

PS> He deserves it as he was taking a shot at me and the Yankees every night while the Yankees were losing. But like I said! Lets wait to the end of the season!

********

Anyway, anyone excited for the playoffs but me and Krem and I think Scottie?

Thank You Paps. Paps Blow It. Yanks Win.

And did you hear that Butthead talking this week. Saying that he can't wait till next year to prove all the doubters wrong.

LOL.

As I correctly pointed out to Gun. Paps almost 4 ERA and the league leading 8 blown saves shows Paps shouldn't be talking.

Just Shut Up and try to make better pitches.

PS Gun. Guess who is looking better as the playoffs approach. MR! Yup but I knew it was pretty stupid talking shit 3 weeks too early.

Yes I am, I like if the Rays (my second favorite team, cause of the Joe Maddon connection) make it to the World Series again (I supported them in 2008 as well and was excited when they made it). Texas is interesting to watch if they can break their first round curse and of course, Vladdy is on the team. Reds will be interesting to watch too. This will be one unpredictable postseason.

Oh boy. If the Padres and Braves both lose, they will force a wild card tiebreaker. If SD loses and Braves wins, Braves win the Wild Card and SD is out. If vice versa, Both SD and SF are both in but the Padres are declared the champs cause the Padres won more head to head matches with the Giants. But if they both win, there will be a three way Tie!!! Has this ever happened before. If this happens, then SF will play at SD and whoever loses, has to play ATL to determine the WC (cause ATL won more head to head matchups and gets to sit the first round). Weird, isn't it.

Also, the NYY and TB games will go down to the last game. the Yankees have to win and Tampa has to lose in order to win the East, cause TB won more head to head matchups, meaning that if there is a tie, the Rays win.

Don't really understand the difference. Not sure why in the NL, SD should get the division based on head to head game games, like in the AL. And then SF and ATL play for the WC. It is stupid for SF/SD to have to play 2 times.

Just another stupid baseball rule.

Interesting your recap doesn't include the 2 teams you picked for the WS. The Phils and Minn.

So I guess you are expecting any team but the Yankees. That is fine as the Yankees have been the underdog all year long. Especially with all their injuries this year.

Then even an act of god ruined their year, of having the chance at the best record in baseball and winning the AL last night.

That rain storm on Friday caused them to play a DH on Sat, where they couldn't even use all the players that they want to.

Dame shame that after such a great year. Injuries and an act of god ruined the Yankees 2010 season.

PS. I still say, I would rather play Minn 1st than Texas. Mainly because of another stupid baseball rule. The best if 5 rather than the best of 7.

Then in the second round. They have that stupid 2 3 2. So if the away team steals 1 or 2 games, then they have a chance in that series.

PS. So that is why the WC team has a decent chance to get to the WS. Winning almost half of the series that they have played in the playoffs. Just with so many stupid baseball rules.

PS. 3. So Petiette is still a ? Throws 88 pitches. 9 hits, 8 strike outs, 3 runs in 4 innings.

Also horrible managing by Yankees manager. I said it at the time. After the Yankees used so many pitchers in 1st game. They should have saved Rivera and picked Hughes for 2 innings. Then in game 2, Yankees starter should have pitched the 7th. Also Jeter should have pinched hit in that game.

And Kearns after playing so good for awhile. Sure has sucked lately. Boy did he kill the Yankees at the plate.

So of to the playoffs to see how far CC and Petitte and Hughes carry the Yankees.

And on the Yankee hitters. So many postitives.

Arod and Tex get their 30 HRs and 100 RBIs again.

Cano goes on fire in Boston and has 199 hits and 29 HRs with 100 RBIs. Hope he can get 200 and 30.

Swisher who I don't really like too much either at bat or in the field. Has 28 HRs and 88 RBIs in a season with a lot of injuries.

And then Granderson who missed over 30 games, still has 24 HRs.

Yes, the Phils and the Twins I did not mention, cause they were the ones I predicted to be in the postseason, I was talking about teams you wouldn't expect to be in the World Series.

Yes, I did not mention the Yankees, cause like most people here, I am not fond of the Yankees at all, and at least you understand where I am coming from there.

LOL at all the hate from Angel and Red Sox Fans.

Too bad they don't know how to spend money better.

And on the Angels. LOL at the Hate. With the attendance the Angels bring in and the $ the owners have, whatever dude.

Plus the Angels play in the weakest division with ONLY 4 TEAMS so they basically have a free pass to the Playoffs every Year!

Really, talk about a joke that they don't add 1 more team to that division but that is just another stupid baseball fuck up.
