I've always liked Jeter, Cano, Swisher, Matsui when he was there, I like what Gerardi has done with the team, Rivera, Hughes, CC is a great pitcher. No, he doesn't have to have 18 wins, I was pointing out that he's been in 5 more games than Bucholtz, CC is doing good, but he's had some bad outtings this year from letting have an extraordinary year.

OK, this is what I remembered you saying about CC. But I feel CC has been outstanding all year long.

and on the clueless part, is that you just keep on jumping around talking different negatives with talking both sides of the equation.

Like when you made the pick that CWS would take the wildcard, until I asked would CWS play 750 ball to make up the games needed.

And Gun, as the Yankees only lost 1-0 on the road yesterday, I would think a nice win tonight or in the series will push the Yankees over Tampa, using your criteria.

anyway, baseball is a game of streaks so only 2 weeks matter at the most. And the Yankees just came off an 7 or 8 game win streak before you started your totals.

Come to think of it LOL to anyone counting out the Yankees.

No Petiette yet but his rehab was going good.

And Yanks have half the team that can carry the team with homers if they get hot: Arod, Tex, Cano, Thames ... Just for starters.

Rangers 6-3
Angels 5-3
Red Sox 5-4
Tigers 4-4
Rays 4-5
White Sox 4-6
Yankees 2-7

Lucked out today Gril, though like said I have the Yanks at 7-16 for the final so they of course will win some close ones. Granderson deserves all the credit. The Rays would have won in the 9th if not for that awesome catch.

Of course I'll root for them. No other team has done a better job this season. They were the best team from May to July with half their starters (and irreplaceable to the roster) gone. Francona without a doubt deserves manager of the year. If they can at least come close at the end, I'll be happy and ready for next year. IF lowell retires and we drop JD Drew, that'll be an extra 27 million to secure Martinez and Beltre, and Ortiz will most likely get the same if not a little more.

Really wish you would drop the injury talk. I would rather hear how disappointing that they blew getting the WC in August as the starting pitchers and relievers blew like 6 games in August alone.

First all teams have injuries and players miss games.

so Arod, Granderson and Posoda offset Youkollis, Peroria and Martinez

and Nick Johnson with a career 400 OBP offsets Ells

and the Yankees have managed the best record in baseball all year.

and I am not even going to count Cameron as I thought he was a horrible signing and the Red Sox had a number of rookies that filled in with good/great years. And also because I thought Ells should have stayed in center so that was stupid play of the manager/GM.

and PS, from May to July the Red Sox and the Yankees played even ball....so the REd Sox were at best tied with the Yankees for being the best team in baseball...

Grill, its not even a debate. Posada is over the hill, Granderson is (Seriously??) and Arod was out for maybe 10 days? And they all have A list back ups. Not only did the starters (Who are better than most Yankee starters) be out an entire year, or at the most half the season, most good backups were injured too, we called in about 4 rookies as starters. The Yankees may not have been at 100% the entire year (at least 90% the entire season as none of the injuries were at the same time) The Red Sox have been at a disadvantage since Game 5, and have been in the 40-60% all year. You are just being ridiculous, and the pitching has been good, but your only as good as your hitting staff.

Now Gun, you know how I love lol at your past stupiid comments. Well look above for what you said about the 3 Yankees who won tonight's game. Yup Arod, Posoda and Granderson, for starters.

And also the Yankees beat a pitcher that Tampa will throw in the Playoffs while the Yankees pitcher won't be a starter.

So again, that is a big difference between the reg season and the playoffs.

Yep, it is official, they did move the season up a week earlier. Cubs visit Fenway for the first time since the 1918 World Series. This will be a game of the year, just like the Yankee at Dodger Stadium series.

and Gun, I am glad you are having fun wasting your time on your meaningless chart above....as there are more important things that it is leaving out, like the standings. As I told you before. And also how a team is playing now doesn't matter, as in a month, it is a new story.

Now if you were adding facts, like I do, that would be more important. Like the Yankees not needing as many starters in the playoffs as now. And also Petiette, etc......

Anyway, I like this chart better!

American League Wild Card
W L GB Left
Tampa Bay Rays (12) 87 57 -- 18 > FYI, Yanks are in front of Tampa still....
Boston Red Sox 81 64 6.5 17 > the team Gun said 1 to 2 months ago would get into the playoffs over the Yankees. LOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Chicago White Sox 79 65 8.0 18 > the team Gun said 2 weeks ago would beat out the Yankees for the Wild Card. LOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Too bad you can't win even with Jeter cheating Gril. Loss of the Division again. Let's hope you can win 1 of the final 5 series.

I know, that was one great acting job by Derek Cheater. I think he gave a better performance here than in the Other Guys. He should do more movies.

LOL at the jealous losers. Too bad the Angels and Red Sox have sucked so much in the last couple of years that all you guys can do is be crybabies.

And Gun, I am glad that you have stopped posting extra details as I am tired of correct and LOL at your stupid posts.

First, show me where any of the known cheaters of Boston have ever given back a bad umps call. Pats or Red Sox. And I will start with Pedoria, Youk, TF, Beckett or Paps...so STFU loser...as it is the umps job to get it right. And I won't even go into Bradyu and Mr Bill.

And I see you joined the pathetic no life losers in my movie thread but you smartly stayed out of the Burn Notice thread, where I blasted the very sophmoric writing.

And you continue to be clueless about baseball. Wow, Yanks are losing 1 run games on the road. Not exactly the Boston Massacres you are familiar with. And using your lame injury examples. Yanks are playing through injuries. Swisher, Gardner, Petiette. And Tex is playing with a broken toe. Now that is roughing it on the field.

And glad you have accepted my bashings on your stupid comments on the. CWS and Granderson, for starters.

It is also too bad that you didn't stick with the RS over the CWS, with your pick for WC. Cause even I thought the RS was better. But you have been making stupid excuses for the RS all year. Too bad you didn't man up and just admit they played horribly in August. Both TF and the whole pitching staff. Blowing game after game.

Anyway, keep on your stupid little chart, about the defending WS Chapmion NY yanks, who have been the best team this year. Even with all of their injuries.

And hope they make it to the WS to show TF and you, what defending teams should do.

Pretty sad how the Red Sox lost in years following theuir lucky WS wins. 2005 and 2006 were pathethic. And 2008 2009 2010 are laughable. Losing to Tampa in 2008 witjh 3 hits in Game 7. 3-0 loss to the Angels in 2009 a team they were supposed to be beat. And no playoffs in 2010.

Yeah TF sure is 1 great manager. NOT!

PS. Still think the Yanks won't get more than 7 wins or get into the playoffs? LOL! Can't wait to see who is right. As it never gets old beating you.

Just spreading some baseball sense to the idiots. And I see you bring nothing, either. Get in line and maybe you will learn something.

Or are you picking the White Sox to get the playoffs over the Yanks. Like Gun. Well that was his prediction from last week. And he has been to scared to make another prediction. LOL.

LOL, I never picked the white sox, just stated they were playing better than the Yankees and wouldn't be surprised for them to even finish above them. You take sarcasm way too seriously Gril (Which you're not even suppose to think as real just in case you don't understand the concept.)

Nothing you just said was even remotely right. Tex has a broken toe, Boo Hoo. Mike Lowell has a broken Rib, I wonder which would effect it more, and Scuturo is playing with a torn rotator cuff, not a good injury when you play shortstop. Nothing you have said has changed the fact that YOU ARE NOT THE BEST TEAM IN BASEBALL anymore. And you have won 2 of your last 10 games, and the 2 you won were limp dick efforts at best, my 7-16 prediction is very plausable at this point. Don't start making up lies just because you're getting worried now. And I'm not talking about the season, it would take a lot more things to go right for the Yanks not to make it to the playoffs, but the Yanks are playing like utter shit right now. They are easily looking to be the worst team in the AL that makes it to the playoffs now.

In the words of you LOL LOL LOL LOL
Spoiler: show
LOL

And PS, you got burned in the Burn Notice thread, I don't like to stay in threads after I've already won them, the seasons are over and In Plain Sight was proven by science to be an inferior show.

Grill, I am not being a loser, I was only making a funny comment. You are just being arrogant cause thanks to your New York pride, all you like to do is make cheap shots at other fans. The only reason why you like to put down people cause you think it will make New York even more powerful, but all it does it make you a cheap-shot a--hole. I post stuff that are rock solid fact, and you still take shots at me for no reason. You are not a good representive for you team. You think that being the richest franchise make's your team better than everyone, and you cannot take losses very well. Yes, my Angels are scuffling, but it doesn't mean I am being a crybaby. When we lose, we find logical reasons why we lose. In fact, fans of the 90's were used to this. It's just one of those years were nothing is going our way. Angel fans, in fact, are among the most conservative fans you'll ever meet.

I called you a loser for taking a cheap shot at Jeter. So tell me 1 major league player who tells an ump. No you are wrong. Reverse the call as it really should go against me.

So I guess all MLB players are cheaters.

Nobody expected Jeter to ask the ump to reverse the call; but his Oscar-winning performance was uncalled for.

Jesus, that series against the Rays was nuts. 52 runs/ 13 home runs. The Sox have really just been amazing this year with what they have. Scuturo hits 2 homeruns with a torn rotator cuff. Lowell' has about 6 RBI's and has been playing first base with a fractured rib. Reddick and Kalish are looking really good. It's such a shame to not see this team at 100% this year. I have a feeling Yankees are gonna choke out of first and WC and CWS are gonna take it instead, that was atrocious against Baltimore. Poor managing by Baltimore, they should have stuck with their 8th inning pitcher.

For starters Gun, here is where you seriously picked the CWS...and over your Red Sox. I at least have faith in the Yankees!

And on Tex, you are clueless if you don't understand how much a broken toe would throw off a players timing when hitting, running and fielding.

No time to write more...will be back tomorrow when the teams play again.

And sorry Gun, you won nothing on the Burn Notice argument. You just left it.

Just like your no comments on Petitte missing half the season or your ? on Granderson. So is Granderson a valuable player on not.

As opposed to a Broken Rib? You're out of your mind Yankee Groupie, I can tell you have never even done anything sports wise even at a school level! I was soccer player for 10 years, and I've played with Broken toes, and that is a sport where people are constantly stomping your feet and much more movement than a first baseman, and while it may hurt, it doesn't effect nearly as much as say a sprained ankle or even a pulled groin. Wrong again! a Broken rib on the other hand is much harder to play, especially when diving, and movement of your entire body can cause pain, I've never had to play with a broken rib, but bruised ones and that was much much worst than a broken toe, I can only imagine an actual fracture. And I currently am healing from a Torn Rotator Cuff, I have no idea how Scuturo is playing with one. Maybe it's because I dislocated mine when I did it, but I still don't have 100% strength back and that was 6 months ago, though thats my fault for holding off on surgery until it's absolutely necessary. And your bolding me continues to show how bad you are at sarcasm, it was a joke about how terrible the Yankees played against Baltimore, not even knowing a week later they'd be even worst. The Red Sox are owning right now, that's about

And I left because everything I said about Burn Notice and In Plain sight was right. All you could muster up was insults and user reviews of In Plain Sight. I showed you critical reviews, general consensus and the huge drop off in ratings of In Plain Sight in its third Season, while Burn Notice is at it's highest ratings ever in its 5th. Double Ownage!

Sorry Gun, but I know for a fact you were serious about the CWS. You just weren't smart enough to realize that they would have to play like 800 ball over the last 3 weeks. And that is also why you picked the CWS or the RS. As you thought the RS were goners with their injuries and the way they ruined those 6 games in August.

Anyway, whatever Gun as I am just waiting for Sunday and Petiette's return to see if he is still close to the All Star form he showed in the first half of the season.

Then we will see how far CC and Petiette can lead the other Yankees in the playoffs.

Where I think you once said, seriously, will the Yankees be swept 3-0. > Nope, as they aren't the 2009 Red Sox.

Never said they'd be swept, so wrong again. No team is a guaranteed sweep in the playoffs, way too many factors. Gril, can you try and bring up something else from a few months or weeks ago that is also wrong, I know I've schooled you on everything else you've brought up recently so you're reaching now, but this isn't even a challenge anymore. Why don't you just stick to whatever it is you're good at. Though its not in TV or in Sports. I'm still laughing at the umpteenth time you have talked about me being a Patriots Fan when I am a hardcore Jets fan, though I do have season tickets to the Giants, New York football is where its at, well New Jersey anyway.

Can we get a record for Whatevers, Loser, and LOL in a single response this time. I'm losing interest in just being right. You're a broken record. You're a dog that takes a shit and then eats it, and then wonders why it isn't as good the 2nd time around. Come on Trolly, I know you're better than that.

OK, Gun. I was wrong on the football thing. But that was because the football comment was from last year. And I really don't put that much into your comments to remember your comments.

Anyway, other than you ignoring the Granderson question, (as you talked both good and bad about him) I am fine on everything and only care about seeing how the Yankees line up in the last 1 to 2 weeks of the season. ( And surely not scared about anything on the Yanks )
