Wow, Mo blows a save against Texas. This series could be a good sign for an intense postseason with all these one-run games between the both of them and shows that Texas can put up a good fight if these Yanks continue to scuffle.

Well Mo lost that game...but Scottie 3 things on the Yanks 1 run losses. Both were on the road and yesterday the ump had a bad strike zone. Screwing Mo on pitches. And the rain delay caused the Yanks to lose their starting pitcher an inning or 2 earlrier than the Yanks wanted.

But luckily the Yanks still have games to give up. As I pointed out to Gun when he said Chicago would take the WC. LOL!!! Because I pointed out to him. OK, let's see Chicago win 18 of 22 games.

And nice that both Boston and Chicago lose so still a 9 game cushion for the Yanks.

True yes, I am just saying that Texas can be a forminable foe, and a sweep can happen if your team does not get out of the funk it is in. If Pettite can come back in his All Star form later on, then there is better hope for the Yanks, but as of right now, I see them getting eliminated in the first round if this scuffle continues. About the umpires, when have they ever made good calls in the postseason, remember the infamous blown calls last year.

Okay, so that is a factor. But the point is, these games are important to the Yankees, cause their homefield advantage is at stake if the Rays overtake them. Besides, the Rays have a much easier schedule than the Yankees do, so the Yankees have to work it out to get homefield advantage and hope for the Rays to lose that distinction.

I've said this for over a month that the last month of the season will be the Yankee's toughest and will lose most of the games (There under 500 against teams with a record above 500) There not playing tough is bullshit, they just got there asses handed to them in 7 straight games with a lucky win in the 9th against the Orioles. They are desperate to win now, they obviously want the Division win and homefield advantage. And Grill they didn't pitch the series because they just pitched before and they got spanked against the Orioles, the worst team in the AL.

But looking at the box score, the biggest thing at the Yanks game on the road, was that CC pitched great. Most important player on the team, next to Petiette and Arod right now.

And other than the Lee loss, every Yankees loss to Tampa and Texas was close. So again I am not concerned until the WC lead gets down to like 3 games.
