No, no no, and No. And Sorry Chipo as well, there not a bad team, but they are certainly not having a good season. Though unlike Grill I caught your sarcasm.

AGAIN gun shows that he has only a little baseball knowledge!!!!

Detriot is playing basically 500 ball and has one of the best RBI guys in baseball. So a team like that can win 1 or 2 games of any series.

Anyway Gun, since the Red Sox are playing the Angels, let see if the RED SOX can sweep them. As the Angels are similar to the Tigers, with both teams around 500.

And the Red Sox have the best manager in baseball, according to you, so lets see if the Red Sox can sweep the Angels and get back into the playoff race!

The Tigers are a good team having a bad year.

Nothing is clicking at the same time.

We've swept them 7 in a row this season. And with the pitcher with the best ERA in the AL tonight, I like my chances to make it 8. I can't believe you would even argue the managing that Francona has done this year. There are teams playing better than the Sox right now, but the Managing has been epic. The problem is you only see the Yankee pin stripe, you can't acknowledge anything admirable about a rival team.

See Gun. Yanks win with their #1 pitcher. So as they still have a 5/6 game playoff advantage, yankees are still looking great.

And then we will see who the players that will ne needed during the playoffs.

Ha? And using one of your points Gun, how much respect do you give other teams, like say the Yankees. Considering they have the best record in baseball, arod is leading the ML in Rbis, Tex is up there also and CC has 15 wins. And wile Paps has an era over 3, Rivera is around 1. And that are just a bunch for starters.

See your misinterpreting everything. I don't hate the Yankees. I hate people like you who think of baseball like Racial Prejudice. I've always been a fan of many Yankee players. Growing up in Jersey, I've seen more than enough. I've just always been more impressed by the Sox, having equally strong teams despite lower quality players. And CC is doing normal numbers, but his numbers are a little off as his wins to games played is not as good as other league leaders. I still think Texas will win the AL this year. Bucholtz dominance continues. 2.36 ERA.

LOL Gun as that is just BS. So on the Yanks, you only mentioned CC with a backwards complement. What about the others and the team as a whole? And on CC, how many wins should he have? 18 20?

I've always liked Jeter, Cano, Swisher, Matsui when he was there, I like what Gerardi has done with the team, Rivera, Hughes, CC is a great pitcher. No, he doesn't have to have 18 wins, I was pointing out that he's been in 5 more games than Bucholtz, CC is doing good, but he's had some bad outtings this year from letting have an extraordinary year.

Gun, Watching the Red Sox, V. Martinez struck out swinging with the bases loaded in the 2nd inning.

Too bad they could have blown the game open!

and Yankees winning so far with 2 homers in the game - 1 by TEX.

So a little over halfway through the month

Sox are 10-6 (And now Ellisbury is done, as is Cameron and Youkilis)
Rays are 10-7
Yankees 7-9

Lets hope the Yanks don't keep falling.

Well the Yanks have come back with 2 strong wins against Detroit. And that is without their best hitter lately, Arod.

And are still holding a 6 game lead I think on a playoff spot.

2 Strong wins? did you watch the game today when the Tigers were denied a 3 run homer. Even Michael Kay said that was a home run.

Gun, your so funny as you find no fault6 with the Red Sox when they win a bad game.

Anyway, teams have to win the lucky games also.

and Gun, all that counts is 3 straight wins after you laughed at them losing game 1 to detriot.

I wouldn't call them bad losses, They were decent games with weaknesses on both teams parts. Clay did ok, nothing special, I think he'll be fine, What is really important is Beckett. He had a weak beginning, but if is able to pull in like 8 or so wins after the long injury it'll be good.

Sorry but I had to look what you said about Beckett. And his present 6.50 ERA!

But also, how many times in his career has Beckett won 8 games in a row? Personally I think he has only had 2/3 good regular seasons as I think in a 10 year career, he is about 30 games over 500.

PS. Worse trade - losing Jeff Bagwell or Hanley Ramirez as both would have cleaned up in Fenway.

Detroit??? Really Grill?? Have you guys done better than tie a series this month, how are you going to do when the last 31-40 games are against teams over .500? Keep up the bad work.

Well I gotta return the favor.

Angels??? Really Gun??? How can the Red Sox lose a game at home with one of their big pitchers on the mound to a sub 500 team, when tell are trying to get back into the playoff race.

Boy, TF must have had the day off today.

And PS, Yanks have now won 3 games in a row since you questioned them, and that is without their best player, Arod. .

Come on Grill, you're reaching. We were bound to lose, we went 9-1 against the angels this year. Beckett is just not dependable this year. His stats have shown that. Still he is consistent with great pitching until a fall apart inning that just kills it.

Update needed as the Yankees have won 3 straight games. So not falling at the moment.

Damn. Just got to the bar for food and Yanks down 3 in the 1st. But against Hernandez, you knew a loss was probable.

And Boston down 6-0 with Lester pitching. Wow. Boy Boston pitching sure is killing the Red Sox when they had a chance to get back into the WC race.

Wow Boston pitchers are giving up batting practice as they gave up a run in every inning so far but 1.

Nothing really to say, we both sucked terribly. Pedroia is gone again! This is just such a disappointing year cause if we were healthy even half the year, we'd be there. It's gonna be tough to gain considering we are having almost the same record with the top 2 teams.

Well. More pressure on Boston as they are behind, as I pointed out to Munk a month ago.

And forget about the whole year Boston blew it this month as they could be passed Tampa in the WC.

But losing 2 games to the Yankees and then blowing 2 games in the 9th and then this week with horrible starts by Lackey, Beckett and Lester.

And on injuries, I wish the Yanks didn't have so injuries alsi. Petitte recently by Nick Johnson for the year who had a 400 on base record. And the Posada, Granderson, Arod, plus a bunch of other outfielders.

And on the Ells/Cameron injuries, I blame TF and the GM because it was stupid playing Ells out of position. He should have been in CF from Day 1.
