What catering did he do? As far as I remember, the only thing he did was consider opening certain areas to drilling. Mostly on the East and SE coast of the U.S. He never promised to do so and I doubt many people actually believed him.

I was watching the news yesterday (maybe ABC) and they had a news story how there was a similar incident like this in the late 70s and it took 10 months to fix that issue and here I go thinking that this had never happened before. I believe we'll get a hold of this eventually regardless of how long it takes and then things will eventually be back to some normalcy. Although, I do think all deep water oil facilities should be inspected to make sure their fail safes are in working order.

Wonder if Obama has thrown in the towel, pretty quickly I might add, as instead of working on this current oil leak, he is discussing how to stop the next one.

yeah that's because BP didnt release the HD video which scientist say if they had seen it months ago, they could have found a better way to close it.
