The Red Sox have won more WS this decade than the Yankees, so I wouldn't say anything :p

Like I said, all things have ups and downs.

And since the Yankees dominated the late 90's winning 4 out of 5 World Series, I am fine with the Red Sox winning their 2 for the first ones in 90 years.

I will give the Red Sox props if they win it again in 2008 but winning in 2004 and 2007 or 3 years apart shows us nothing about the Red Sox being dominant.

Also, I wonder how many times that has been done or better, 4 out of 5. Has there every been a more dominant baseball teams for such a period who finished and won the World Series, yearly.

Guess the Yankees of the late 90's will be considered one of the greatest baseball teams ever.

From March 2008, defending the Yankees over some clueless Red Sox fan!

and not any more as WS are tied!

Hi five.

sure, we will see what happens, love to have more things to laugh at during the year.

and also the Yankees missed the playoffs for the first time in 13 years as their #1/2 pitchers went down and missed about 30 starts.

and look what I said before this year...ps, love the clueless munk above - Yanks are still not that great!

One thing that worries me about CC is his post season record. I don't want another overpaid player that can't perform in the post season. Yanks already have one. (ARod)

well we will see.

CC has been the best pitcher over the last 2 years and in the playoffs 2 things. 1 he pitches too many innings in the regular season. Hopefully the Yanks won't push him. And Manny killed him in Boston and without Manny, he might have beaten Boston, so again we shall see.

grill right again as he defends the Yankees from all comers!

PS. Why don't you try that reverse stuff on the Cowboys, maybe that will work this time! :hahaha: You know the Cowboys suck and aren't going to win! O Wait, that doesn't work as we know it is true!

I don't blame him if he jumps on the Yankees bandwagon. That divorce between the McCourt's is going to cripple his Dodgers for the forseeable future. And with hardly anyone in the farm system? Poor bastards.

Yeah LOSER, as I have been defending the Yankees from idiots for the last 2 years, whatever! But then again coming from a Red Sox Fan, ..........who cares!

Boy the pain from another Yankee Championship must have brought back some old nightmares!

He's also a Mets fan. In fact, he "grew up" closer to the Mets than the Yankees. So his #1 team is the Mets, and then the Dodgers, and the Yankees when they win.

as the season is over, I thought I would bring up some funny memories of past seasons. Upcoming are 1978, 1986, 2003 for starters. But there are like 86 + 2 +2 or 90 years in total to talk about.

yeah, check out 1986 where the Red Sox were the only team to lose a World Series where they were 1 out from winning with a 3 run lead. And 2 games to play.

so lets not talk about a Red Sox team that has 2 wins in 90 years, even though they are one of the biggest spenders in baseball - top 3/4 every year!

This decade. Before that? Not so much spending. But I guess you already knew that being a Mets fan and all. :funny:

RS :hahaha:

2008 - Choke vs Tampa by getting 3 lousy hits in Game 7. PS. Even with Tampa's salary being almost 100 Million less. Priceless.

2009 Playoffs - Yankees sweep Angels > Angels sweep Red Sox. Priceless.

2010 and beyond - Can't Wait. PS. Who do you think the Yankees will sign with all their hard earned money from 2009? Priceless.
