And Kobe goes back to the NBA Finals.
Who do you want him to play James or Howard.

The Cavs and Magic have no chance if the Laker big men keep playing the way they have been the last two games.

 Re: NBA 2008-2009 season
It almost feels weird to me that the Lakers are probably going to win the championship. There's just been something flawed about them this whole run I can't put my finger on. Maybe it's having Fisher, Vujacic, Walton, etc. getting so many minutes on the perimeter, or the fact that they seem like they should be mentally soft enough to fold, but somehow aren't. But there's something that isn't sitting right, they don't feel like they should be crowned the best team. Who knows, maybe Orlando will beat them in 5 or something. And I guess if Cleveland makes the miracle comeback there's no way LA's stopping that momentum

 Re: NBA 2008-2009 season
Early predictions
Lakers vs. Cavaliers - Lakers in 5 *Lakers vs. Magic - Magic in 6
*That's of course if the Magic can win one of the first two in LA. If they don't then it'll be the Lakers in 5 or 6. The Magic actually match up well against the Lakers just like they do against the Cavs. They don't really have someone who can cover, but then again who does? Let Kobe get his 40 just like Lebron has done, and defend everyone else.

If Orlando wins tonight, Orlando will beat LA in 6.
If Orlando wins in 7, LA will win in 5.
If Cleveland wins, Cleveland will win in 5.

 Re: NBA 2008-2009 season
For fun http://espn.go.com/nba/draft2009/featur ... 9153,19254My Mock Draft. I picked most based on team needs and what I think will actually happen, but admit I picked some based on what I think should happen. The first of those is that Memphis would be absolutely retarded to pass on Rubio. And the most obvious is Stephon Curry going #3 to the Thunder, which most mock drafts wouldn't dare do. I think he'd fit perfectly in OKC though. He can either start at his more natural shooting guard position, or play backup point guard to Russell Westbrook, or start at PG and have Westbrook at SG. I'd take him over Thabeet is a heart(tha)beat.

Yeah, the refs are the reason Cleveland is down by 18.

Have we ever had someone win Coach of the Year and still been fired? Cavs could make history after all.

Congrats magic. Great performance to beat overrated cavs.
Lebron lacks sportsmanship. He just walked off like a sore loser. Twice in a row for him.

 Re: NBA 2008-2009 season
I'm predicting Orlando in 6. They have the championship formula. 3 all stars, a dominant big man, and an excellent inside-outside game. I think Lewis will be finals MVP.

 Re: NBA 2008-2009 season
They dont have any tradeble assets for suns to trade Shaq in his final year. Suns will look for something tangible this year. If Shaq is even 3/4th of what he was this season, he could be sought after. He is a low risk asset considering he is in his final year. I think suns will let his contract expire unless they get something in return.

 Re: NBA 2008-2009 season
Lakers in 5. After their game 6 when they at last played to the potential, they have way too many weapons for magic to beat them. Lakers will have no problem defending magic's 3 point shooters. If they make Dwight the jump shooter its game over for magic.
I think it was too easy for lakers last year all the way to finals. This year was the best way. They have definitely peaked at the right time. Kobe is a man on mission. There is no player on magic who can defend him.

 Re: NBA 2008-2009 season
And?
What does that have to do with how the Magic matchup against the Lakers? Of course Phil Jackson is a better coach than Brown and Van Gundy. Hell, he's even a better coach than Doc Rivers. And of course Lebron's supporting cast is weaker than the Lakers (all of a sudden). Again, they have to stop Kobe. IMO, I don't think Gasol, Bynum and Odom will show up for all of the games.
The Lakers have been inconsistent this postseason. They've got their act together now, but inconsistent teams tend to stay inconsistent. The Magic, despite having trouble with the 76ers, haven't been as inconsistent.

 Re: NBA 2008-2009 season
Magic in 6. They swept the two regular season games, are a very good road team, and present matchup problems for Lakers just as they did with Cavs.
