 Re: NBA 2008-2009 season
I'm not sure what's worse, the fact that Orlando didn't double team Lebron or Cleveland almost throwing away another game. It's good that there's celebrating in Cleveland tonight because the way the Cavs have been playing they'll have played their last game at home. Orlando got beaten by the best player in the league tonight, but they're in complete control of the series (which is odd because they should be down 0-2). That can change though.

 Re: NBA 2008-2009 season
i just don't get it. why the hell do the cavs play so great in the first half, and then let orlando pick them apart twice?? if they could play a full 48 minutes, they would easily be up 2-0. they better get it together in a hurry, because it's gonna be very tough to win in orlando.
oh, and am i the only one who would love to punch hedo turkoglu in the face?

Stan Van Gundy mentioned the Indiana game from earlier in the season, where LeBron was fouled with seconds to go trying to dunk an inbounds pass. Of course, the Cavs lost that game since the EXACT same thing happened to Danny Granger on the other end. I think if you're the Magic you can live with LeBron chucking up a fade away 3 at the buzzer. Unless he makes it of course. And I'm with you Terminator. And Lewis, with his stupid goatee.

 Re: NBA 2008-2009 season
i just somehow hope that this shot can turn the series in the cavs' favor. maybe this will give them the wake-up call that they need to play 48 minutes of great basketball, not just 24. if they can split these next 2 games in orlando they'll have home-court advantage back. it still is gonna very tough to win in orlando.

What I want to know is how Mo Williams got away with throwing the ball at Dwight Howard. I guess all the refs "turned" their heads away and didn't see it.

Is Mark Jackson capable of producing an original thought? It seems like everything out of his mouth is either a cliche or something that's obvious for even someone who's never watched an NBA game in their life. Even Madden was better in his final years.

Are there enough fouls being called? I hope Stern purges his entire referee staff in the offseason. It's much overdue.

I wonder if the refs are listening to Too Short's song "Blow The Whistle". It's a little ridiculous.

 Re: NBA 2008-2009 season
what an absolutely pathetic performance by the cavs. 37% shooting and 5 of 26 from 3. and way to make clutch free throws lebron. might as well just not show up for the next 2 games if you're gonna play like that. this series is pretty much over. another fucking season ending heartbreak in the making. wow it rules to be a cleveland sports fan. and people always wonder how i can be so negative about my teams....because of this bullshit right here. happens every damn year.

 Re: NBA 2008-2009 season
Seems to me that fucking ref wanted to make Howard get another T with that BS 3 point foul on Lebron in the final moments, that was clearly all ball. Anyway, great win by the magic. I bet James will go to New York if The Cavs lose this series.

 Re: NBA 2008-2009 season
The Cavs need to find another scorer and they need to find it quickly. Lebron can't do everything by himself. He sure as hell will try and will win a game for you occasionally doing that, but not over the course of an entire playoff series especially against a team that is as good as the Magic are.

 Re: NBA 2008-2009 season
I can't believe people honestly think LeBron James is already the best player in the league. As great as his numbers are, he will not be the best player in the league until this changes:
.780 FT percentage in the regular season .748 FT percentage in the post season .797 FT percentage in the first round .696 FT percentage in the second round .727 FT percentage in the conference playoffs
Until those increase dramatically, Kobe will continue to be the guy you would want to give the ball to in the final minutes of the game. I know Kobe will drain those free throws when you need them, and won't miss 5 free throws in the fourth quarter.
