Re: The PGA Tour 2009 Thread I will not say it is not easy. Federer has been more consistent(there is no doubt about that) but Tiger has been in the top for a long time plus pga is lot more competitive than men's tennis. There are no easy wins in golf.

Re: The PGA Tour 2009 Thread I don't think it's a foregone conclusion Tiger beats Jack's 18. Jack had 14 majors by 35 and then only won 4 past that, including his 1986 Masters at 46. Tiger turns 34 in December... so while he has an edge on Jack, if he goes into another slump for a year or two more that'll put him behind.

Any player can be a on a hot streak and win on a week. But tennis is lot more predictable(even before federer dominated). Generally you can predict a winner between 3-4 players. That should be a factor comparing both the players. Plus look at max no of majors won by other active players. There is no one with even 4 majors. That shows how impressive 14 is. I still agree Fed should be slightly ahead bcos one cannot underestimate the rate at which he broke sampras record.
