So are you going to buy an US-Car now
If you need a new one? Obama demands it!

I don't think the tax credit is limited to U.S. cars. In any case, I might consider a new car in a year and a half or so - which is right around the time the credit expires.

I've been thinking about getting a scooter for quite some time. Not sure if the tax credit extends to 2-wheelers.

I'm shopping around for small SUV type of vehicle so maybe it'll be US made.

Re: So are you going to buy an US-Car now
If I actually needed one then I would, but why buy a car for a measly small credit when you can buy a house and get 8k that you don't have to pay back. That's a better deal.

It's not 8k! It's an 8k income adjustment, the actual amount saved via taxes will run an average of less than $2000.
