Some of the list is okay, but I think they rank some presidents too high like Kennedy, Reagan, and Truman none of them belong that high.

If I had to rank the top 10 and bottom 10 I would do it this way (I think you have to exclude William Henry Harrison and Garfield neither was president for more than 3 months.)

I think it's kind of unfair to rank W.H. Harrison. I mean he really didn't do anything.

i always find the JFK top 10 to be to much. He just didn't serve long enough to be in the top 10. I'd also have Ike and Reagan higher. LBJ being so high is odd too.

Him and Garfield, they both died very early in their terms that they shouldn't be ranked.

I don't have a lot of quibbles with it. I would have ranked Dubya a lot lower.

I think you have to include Harrison for the simple fact that he was president and any inclusive list would have him on it.

But at least Garfield's death provided a boost for Civil Service reform. Harrison only provided a test for succession.

As for LBJ, he got fucked by Vietnam, though his massive ego didn't help either.

Lyndon Johnson, outside of Vietnam, was an excellent president.

I believe that GW is 2 and FDR is 3 (if I'm remembering that correctly), with Lincoln as 1. Not bad.

Lincoln was a better president than either one. The man did save our nation from splitting into pieces. I take Jefferson over those two as well. Jefferson was a genius.

I gotta agree with Jefferson. The man did amazing things for the country. Plus you gotta love a dude that dies and leaves just millions of dollars of debt for his family to deal with.

Well there are couple of reasons for that. First he was a tobacco planter most of those guys were in debt when they died. Second he put a lot of his money into building the University of Virginia and it was a failure at the time that put him into debt.

I always wanted to make a movie where time travellers go back in time to kill Hitler, but one double crosses them and goes after Millard Filmore "for being so boring". He arrives at his destination, with Filmore at diner remarking "The nutrition is palpable". Rogue traveller plugs him screaming "Shut up! You bland fucking bastard, shut up!" When they arrive in the present day, they find out modern world lacks indoor plumbing.

Jefferson hated slavery, he called it an abomination. He tried to pass a bill that would stop Slavery from going to the territories but it was shot down by SC and the other southern states. The man was a genius and to me one of our greatest president. If Hamilton had become president he would have declared himself Emperor of North American the man was a sociopath who wanted power.

Yes, but it was over 200 years ago now. It's going past "this guy was an asshole" and closer to "this guy would make a great fucking movie". Think Genghis Khan.

It had the potential, though.

Hell, it all explains my hard-on for LBJ and Nixon. Crazy as hell, but their narcissism was an artform.
