I rank exactly how Colin Cowherd ranks.

I rank by seeing which team would win on a neutral field.

I think Tennessee would beat NY on a neutral field.

Colin Cowherd? Oh my god!

Tennessee wouldn't beat any of the top 4 NFC teams on a neutral field

That's really funny as the Giants have won about 12 straight ROAD GAMES so they can win in the other teams stadium but they couldn't win on a neutral site. SURE. LOL!

and ps they didn't have too much trouble winning on the road in their last neutral game, at last year Super Bowl, were they won.

Your opinion. Wrong, but I still respect it.

So the Titans should be #1?

after tonight's game there's no clear #1 team.
Titans being undefeated doesn't make them so.

their first big matchups comes in two weeks against the Colts and then the following
week against the Packers.

Well I give them #1 because they are unbeaten and they have mostly looked like a dominant team with their defense and strong running game.

I think they can beat the Colts and the Packers aren't that good.

Post Re: Levy's Ramblings aka NFL Power Ranking: 2008 Edition
Week 6:

1. (up 1) Tennessee Titans (5-0)
They're undefeated, so they deserve to be up here. However they are just a notch above the next ten teams.

2. (up 3) Pittsburgh Steelers (4-1)
If you have a bye week and everyone else around you loses, it's a perfect scenario.

3. (up 6) Tampa Bay Buccaneers (4-2)
That was a great performance against Carolina, so I put them at the top of the NFC teams

4. (down 3) New York Giants (4-1)
If there's something like a good loss, the one against Cleveland was it. The Giants started getting too cocky and got stopped at the right time, but at the same time didn't lose ground to their division rivals. However Giants fans everywhere pray that Eli's performance was attributed to his sore shoulder and is not a sign of falling back to old habits.

5. (up 14) Arizona Cardinals (4-2)
Enjoy the week in the spotlight, Cardinals.

6. (up 11) Indianapolis Colts (3-2)
They're an enigma. One week they have an offense, the next week it's gone. One week they stop the run, the next week it has more holes than a swiss cheese. I have no idea where to put them, but since the win against Baltimore was mightily impressive they make a big jump.

7. (up 7) Jacksonville Jaguars (3-3)
They can easily manhandle weak rushing defense. Last week against Denver the passing game was there as well. If they can build on this performance they'll easily make the play-offs.

8. (down 4). Dallas Cowboys (4-2)
The broken pinkie hurts more than the loss. But a bigger concern is the terrible O-Line that got Romo hurt by failing to do their job. Imagine what that will do to a 40-year-old QB. They need to stop their decline or Romo can only play for show when he returns.

9. (down 6) Washington Redskins (4-2)
If you lose against the Rams you drop, drop, drop.

10. (down 3) Denver Broncos (4-2)
Their run defense might be too weak to make the play-offs. If opponents can average 5 yards per carry, they will easily beat you. Surprisingly some dumb coaches still pass too much against Denver.

11. (up 2) San Diego Chargers (3-3)

12. (up 9) Atlanta Falcons (4-2)

13. (down 7) Carolina Panthers (4-2)

14. (up 3) New Orleans Saints (3-3)

15. (down 5) Philadelphia Eagles (3-3)

16. (down 5) Buffalo Bills (4-1)

17. (down 5) New England Patriots (3-2)

18. (down 10) Chicago Bears (3-3)

19. (up 9) Cleveland Browns (2-3)

20. (up 2) New York Jets (3-2)

21. (up 4) Houston Texans (1-4)

22. (up 1) Green Bay Packers (3-3)

23. (down 7) Minnesota Vikings (3-3)

24. (down 4) Miami Dolphins (2-3)

25. (down 10) Baltimore Ravens (2-3)

26. (down 2) San Francisco 49ers (2-4)

27. (down 1) Seattle Seahawks (1-4)

28. (up 4) St. Louis Rams (1-4)

29. (down 2) Oakland Raiders (1-4)

30. (unchanged) Kansas City Chiefs (1-4)

31. (down 2) Cincinnati Bengals (0-6)

32. (down 1) Detroit Lions (0-5)
If your QB runs through the endzone unaware that he just caused a safety, you're on the way to make history with a winless season.

Philly down 5 and Minnesota down 7 after wins? And the Jets, Packers, and Vikings are way better than the Browns.

Minnesota barely won against Detroit which is far worse than a loss against a real football team. Philly didn't play great as well but mostly it is an adjustment to earlier weeks where I had them high due to hopes they could explode, I lost that now.

And the Browns game against the Giants was better than any game of the Jets, Packers and Vikings

Post Re: Levy's Ramblings aka NFL Power Ranking: 2008 Edition
Week 7:

1. (unchanged) Tennessee Titans (6-0)
They played Kansas which feels like a bye week, so they stay steady at #1.

2. (unchanged) Pittsburgh Steelers (5-1)
They played Cincy which feels like a bye week, so they stay steady at #2.

3. (unchanged) Tampa Bay Buccaneers (5-2)
I'm really impressed by them. Could this be 2002 all over again?

4. (unchanged) New York Giants (5-1)
The blocked FG returned for a TD let the game appear closer than it was. But now the meaty part of their schedule starts, the next weeks will decide where the Giants season is headed.

5. (up 11) Buffalo Bills (5-1)
That's all I wanted to see from them. A dominating win against a decent team. Now they are really a Top 5 team and the playoffs seem to be a sure thing

6. (down 1) Arizona Cardinals (4-2)
They just drop a spot because of the Bills.

7. (up 6) Carolina Panthers (5-2)
I still like the Saints a bit, so this trouncing by the Panthers triggers a leapfrog in the Power Rankings.

8. (up 1) Washington Redskins (5-2)
The scoreless halftime score is just irritating. The Redskins were never in trouble against the Browns.

9. (up 3) Atlanta Falcons (4-2)
A good bye week for them since the lower top 10 teams all lost.

10. (up 7) New England Patriots (4-2)
Are the Pats clicking again or are the Broncos worse than we think. I still think it is the latter and the injuries don't exactly help the Pats.

11. (down 4) Jacksonville Jaguars (3-3)
Just a victim of some reshuffling. I don't see them in the Top 10 at this moment.

12. (up 3) Philadelphia Eagles (3-3)
See Falcons

13. (up 5) Chicago Bears (4-3)
One thing's for sure: The offense isn't a problem for the Bears anymore. However allowing 41 points to the Viking is a bit worrysome.

14. (up 8) Green Bay Packers (4-3)
After a few games where their season seemed to be headed down the toilet, they pull out this all-around gem against the Colts. Just in time to make their game against the Titans (after a bye week for Green Bay) a little more exciting

15. (down 7). Dallas Cowboys (4-3)
That was just an embarrasment. Brad Johnson was horrible, but I doubt they would have looked that much better with Romo. At least there won't be any Roy Williams confusion for the rest of the season.

16. (down 8) Indianapolis Colts (3-3)
At least I can let my statement from last week stand: They're an enigma. One week they have an offense, the next week it's gone. One week they stop the run, the next week it has more holes than a swiss cheese.

17. (down 6) San Diego Chargers (3-4)
The Bolts were without power in more ways than one. Now they have to save their season in London.

18. (down 8) Denver Broncos (4-3)
I'm thinking more and more that their first game were an aberration and the Broncos are just an average NFL team. Good for them that their division rivals aren't exactly terrifying at the moment.

19. (up 2) Houston Texans (2-4)
They seem to make the best of their schedule at the moment. With the Bengals and the Vikings coming up they could get to .500 soon.

20. (up 5) Baltimore Ravens (3-3)
They took the Wildcat away which made the Dolphins one of the worst NFL teams again. I still want to see them beat a .500 team which I doubt they can.

21. (up 7) St. Louis Rams (2-4)
The NFL East certainly doesn't look scary to the Rams. Could those two games turn their season around? In their division everything is possible.

22. (down 8) New Orleans Saints (3-4)
The Colts get Colston and Shockey back and suddenly their potent offense is in heavy need of Viagra. With Bush out for a few weeks and the exhausting trip to Europe coming up, they are in big trouble - especially since their division rivals are all top 10 teams at the moment.

23. (unchanged) Minnesota Vikings (3-4)
Says Punter Kluwe after the game "This never happens to me in Madden"

24. (down 5) Cleveland Browns (2-4)
The Browns returned to being mediocre again. Could someone put some glue on Braylon Edwards hands please?

25. (up 4) Oakland Raiders (2-4)
Tom Cable is .500 as a Raiders Coach. Not many can say that.

26. (down 6) New York Jets (3-3)
This season is much better to retire, Brett.

27. (down 3) Miami Dolphins (2-4)
The Wildcat looked more like a stray cat. It was only a matter of time before teams took the gimmick away from the otherwise harmless Dolphins.

28. (down 1) Seattle Seahawks (1-5)
Isn't it time to let Mike Holmgren go?

29. (down 3) San Francisco 49ers (2-5)
They handed the Giants the game by getting penalty after penalty after penalty. Now the suit is gone, but that won't change a thing.

30. (unchanged) Kansas City Chiefs (1-5)
Down by 27, Herm Edwards kicks a field goal. Ladies and Gentlemen, your Kansas City Chiefs.

32a. (unchanged) Cincinnati Bengals (0-7)
32b. (unchanged) Detroit Lions (0-6)
At the moment there is no difference between those two. I can't see them winning any game this season.

You know what would be great? The Broncos winning the AFC West with a 7-9 record. Is it possible? Sure it is!

And a funny thing for me as well was that today I had forgotten the Titans had played yesterday. Poor Chefs (they need to purposely paint the endzone like that).

I know that was a heck of a run. They have a great two man duo on the ground. I think they will beat the Colts next Monday night, I think they are a playing great football right now. The big question is what to do with Vince Young? Personally I would put him in his a WR like the Steelers did with Stewart several years back. I am not sure if the Offense coordinator though has trick plays like that in his playbook.

The Chiefs need to fire Herm Edwards and Carl Petersen and overhall that franchise. I would also some how try to get Brady Quinn from Cleveland to start the rebuilding process. I think they should bring in Bill Cowher and let him run the show.

Isn't it strange that they fired three coaches and Cowher was never discussed?

Herm Edwards is the Chiefs biggest problem. He overworked LJ a few seasons ago and no matter who they used as a QB they totally failed. At some point you have to question the system and coaches.

I think he will get fired at the end of the year especially if they only have 2 or 3 wins. They look worse than last year and the defense has gotten worse which was the only postive thing about last year's team. They have no QB. Croyle is constantly getting hurt and isn't the future. Huard is just a journeyman and Thigpen is no NFL QB. Hell LJ might be in serious trouble now with him assaulting women like that. I have to say this is the lowest I have seen that franchise go since I became a fan of them (which was 1993). It is probably as bad as the late 80's when I understand they really stunk.

Post Re: Levy's Ramblings aka NFL Power Ranking: 2008 Edition
Week 8:

1. (unchanged) Tennessee Titans (7-0)
You can make a case for the Giants to deserve this spot, but til the Titans lose they will stay here. With 4 games ahead on anyone else in their division they can cruise into the playoffs for the rest of the regular season.

2. (up 2) New York Giants (6-1)
I don't buy into the talks that Eli Manning has become a far superior QB than previous years. Put any NFL QB behind this tremendous O-Line and their numbers will shoot up. It doesn't hurt when your defense buries the opposing QB in the ground all the time.

3. (down 1) Pittsburgh Steelers (5-2)
They played a great game, had some bad luck with injuries and faced an opponent that was just a bit better. No need to drop them out of the Top 3.

4. (up 2) Carolina Panthers (6-2)
I don't know if this is the best division, but it surely is the most fun and exciting. This week the Panthers have the edge.

5. (down 2) Tampa Bay Buccaneers (5-3)
This is why you don't put Jeff Garcia into pressure situations.

6. (up 2) Washington Redskins (6-2)
Somehow the Redskins always seem to play better than the score indicates. You might keep Cleveland and Detroit hanging in the game, but you better don't do it with Pittsburgh and Dallas in the next few weeks.

7. (up 5) Philadelphia Eagles (4-3)
Brian Westbrook makes this team so much better, it isn't even funny.

8. (up 2) New England Patriots (5-2)
They steadily creep back up into the top 10 and look again like the favorite to win their division.

9. (down 1) Arizona Cardinals (4-3)
A close loss to Carolina is no shame, but you have to worry about Kurt Warners ability to win such games. He always seems to make key mistakes in the fourth quarter - and the inability of his special teammates sure didn't help

10. (down 1) Atlanta Falcons (4-3)
We don't know if the botched call on the punt return decided this game. Fact is Atlanta played a good game against a strong opponent which is enough for me to keep them in the Top 10.

11. (down 6) Buffalo Bills (5-2)
My doubts about the Bills were justified.

12. (up 3). Dallas Cowboys (5-3)
Wade Phillips calling the defensive plays sure did help. Maybe he should put on the gear and play QB as well.

13. (unchanged) Chicago Bears (4-3)
bye

14. (unchanged) Green Bay Packers (4-3)
bye

15. (up 7) New Orleans Saints (4-4)
And the unpredictable Saints are at it again. In a must-win-situation Drew Brees gave another MVP like performance. If they just could find a way to keep opposing offenses off the field, they would be a contender. So far, they're only the toast of any fantasy league.

16. (up 2) Denver Broncos (4-3)
bye

17. (up 2) Houston Texans (3-4)
Matt Schaub and his receiving corps of Johnson, Walter and Daniels are mighty impressive. It'll be fun to see how far they can climb back rom their 0-4 start. The opponents start to get better again, but the Vikings, Ravens and Colts are beatable.

18. (up 2) Baltimore Ravens (4-3)
Joe Flacco triple-threat. I just love it when NFL teams incorporate college trick plays. Still, I'm not sold despite their inventive playcalling and excellent D.

19. (up 2) St. Louis Rams (2-5)
They lost, but they definitely are not the laughing stock of the NFL they were three weeks ago. Even without Steven Jackson they put up a fight against the Patriots and the emergence of Donnie Avery is not only fun for fantasy owners but for the Rams as well. Don't count them out in their division yet. If they win nect week against Arizona, they could look at a .500 record soon.

20. (down 4) Indianapolis Colts (3-4)
Peyton Manning finally managed to incorporate Dallas Clark into the offense, but the two interceptions show once again that his accuracy is off. The best they can hope for is a Wildcard but that looks unlikely with the easy schedule of the AFC East and Jacksonville and Houston looming in their own division.

21. (down 4) San Diego Chargers (3-5)
LTs toe seems to be healthy again. But even with him and Rivers putting up monster numbers they lost. The defense is a concern. Luckily their division still doesn't look strong, so even with a .500 record they might be able to sneak into the play-offs.

22. (up 2) Cleveland Browns (3-4)
Braylon Edwards still can't catch balls. That they nevertheless managed to win was lucky. They still don't look like a top 20 team.

23. (down 12) Jacksonville Jaguars (3-4)
What happened to the Jags running game? Seriously: Garrard getting more yards on the ground than Jones-Drew and Taylor combined. If they can't fix this area, they are doomed.

24. (down 1) Minnesota Vikings (3-4)
bye

25. (up 2) Miami Dolphins (3-4)
With all the talk about the Wildcat offense it easily gets overlooked that Chad Pennington has quite a good season. The Dolphins still aren't good but probably a lot better than everyone thought at the start of the season.

26. (unchanged) New York Jets (4-3)
Brett Favre is washed-up. The Jets are by far the worst team with a winning record.

27. (up 1) Seattle Seahawks (2-5)
The Seahawk still aren't good, the 49ers are just worse.

28. (down 3) Oakland Raiders (2-5)
Will they ever get good again?

29. (unchanged) San Francisco 49ers (2-6)
How long til the team turns against Mike Singletary? 4 days? His speech was fun, but I'm not sure if it was the right thing to do.

30. (unchanged) Kansas City Chiefs (1-6)
The Chiefs performance is just a spit slap in the face for their fans

31. (up 1/2) Detroit Lions (0-7)
The firing of Matt Millen worked! The Lions aren't the worst team in the NFL anymore

32. (down 1/2) Cincinnati Bengals (0-8)
This is why you don't put int a Harvard QB as a starter.
