Reposting this once more just to be sure its read bABs mCbO0bly wrote: Joe wrote: Royd wrote: I closed it because you have no case at all. You claim that you are attacked for no reason but frankly whenever I see your report, I wouldnt say 100% of the time but more like 85% of the time you started shit because someone doesnt agree with you. If you want me to be specific, I can either make it public or if you dont feel the stuff should be disclosed here I could send a PM Did you not read " What I view as an attack is different than what you view as one" from the other thread? Joe, let me answer your comments as simply as i can. Quote: What you view as an attack is different than what the mods/admins view as an attack. Thats all well and good but decisions on this forum on what is viewed as an attack and how they are handled are made by the mods and the admins. No one else. Not you, not Tony, not Dolcevita, not even EAGLE, Loyal and me. No one. Just the team that is part of the admin/mods. So what you view as an attack, what I view as an attack and what Jim Halpert views as an attack means nothing other than bringing it to the attention of the team. If they don't see it as such, they don't see it as such and thats that. b) Caring about personal problems. Let me direct you back to a KJ rule here. Quote: 13: Revealing Personal Information: KJ discourages people from handing out personal information to other people here and points out that if you do, you do so on your own accord. The website nor any of the people involved in running the website are in anyway responsible for any problems that come up with you revealing information about yourself. Plain and simple. KJ does not want to get involved with people's personal lives. If anyone chooses to do so, they do so on their own accord. If you have serious issues at home, and if KJ members want to deal with these issues, thats fine. But you are no longer 10 years old. You're in college. If you're asking us to pick up a phone and call social services, then i would assume that you have the exact same ability as we do to make that call. Frankly, it is highly irresponsible for anyone involved in the forum to call up any kind of services on your behalf. I do not know you, do not know your family, do not know your situation and can in no way verify it. Calling up someone to create hell for a family for as far as i know, is all a complete joke (and don't tell me this stuff doesn't happen on the internet all the time) is very very irresponsible. If Joblo decided to do it, they had their reasons. Would i pick up the phone and contact someone if i knew Loyal, Dolcevita, Dima, or Padraig were in trouble? Absolutely. I know them, I have their numbers, I've met them. Would I do so for you, Jiffy, Rev, Beeblebrox? No. I do not know them and it would make no sense to do so without further validation, which i cannot do at this time. Bottom line. Your personal problems are your problems and there is nothing anyone can do here that you cannot do for yourself. Everyone on this forum has different personalities and different problems happening at home which is why the rules here are not to cater to one person. When you post here, you post according to the rules THIS FORUM sets. And the interpretation of these rules is the responsibility of the admins and mods. NO ONE ELSE. Others can advise and discuss but they have the final say on how to react, and how to interpret a situation. You need help? Call 911. If that gets people in trouble that you don't wish would get into trouble, call something equivalent to a 411 and ask for a number. There are programs, shelters, and opportunities avaialble for everyone everywhere.

Re: Don't close threads for no reason
Frankly, I have the upmost respect for the level-headedness of the mods in this situation. The fact that Joe is berating you guys for not getting involved in his personal life and fixing his problems for him, is absolutely fucking ridiculous.
Your life is your life Joe, if you're unhappy living at home and with your college situation, then it's on you to fix it, not people you've met on the internet. Like bradley said, you could easily drop out and get your own job and apartment if you can't stand living with your parents. Or live in residence next year? Self empowerment man... be strong. You may not believe it, but there's people a lot worse off than you.

I'm asking them to care which is apparently too much. And to even hint that all this is a joke is an insult and the equivalent of telling me to fuck off or worse. And Shack, you're one of those who pretty much has told me to go to hell before so I know your motives behind posting.

you are asking "the mods" to care yet if offering suggestions isnt caring enough, what is? Even then what does all this have to do with us not responding to some of the reports you submitted.

Here Joe You want us to care? http://www.hopeline.com/1 800 SUICIDE They have the neccessary information on how you can go about helping yourself and what to do if you can't drive a car, have no buses near you, parents that hate you, feeling suicidal, can't drop out, can't get a job, can't run away, not a friend you can go live with or a relative and can't call 911. They have the next best alternative. If they can't help you deal with the problems, i doubt anyone at KJ will be qualified to. Till then, play by the rules set by the forum and the admins, not yours, not mine, not no ones.

No you asked them to have a different set of rules to the boards for you compared to everyone else. Which is just plain dumb and illogical.

The even if it's not a personal attack or a bait they should still be in trouble even though i started it? That's what you've been trying to argue and justify. Sounds like a different set of rules if you ask me.

After all, that would be the easy way to deal with the situation and KJ is apparently all about the easy way out.

Well then obviously you have a decision to make of whether your personal happiness is more important than getting a well paying job quicker. Personally it sounds like if you're as depressed as you sounds, taking some years off to get happy and then going back to school when you feel better and can afford to live on your own or with a friend or roomate you find, may be the best option.

Re: Don't close threads for no reason
and you got how much longer in college? I think its at least 2 to 3 years since you are in college so even after graduation, I dont think anything is stopping you from breaking contact. We arent even licensed doctors so I dont see how you think we can solve your solution especially a bunch of potheads in that other thread. Also I dont see your motive in revealing so much personal info about yourself considering you think like half of the site hates you

Re: Don't close threads for no reason
Since I was asked to say something, I will, but I'm not going to get involved after this post (or so). Joe, I get called names, attacked, etc. more than probably anyone on the site. Do I hate that? Yes, but I take it anyway without giving back what I get. It use to annoy me greatly, and I'd hit back almost every single time, but now when it happens I just overlook it, and have fun with it. If people want to resort to name calling, ganging up, etc. on me, fine. I'm not here to be liked, I'm here to have fun and to enjoy myself. And I'll probably always be here as long as there is someone or something I find fun or enjoyable. And besides, be amused if posters go so far as do the things to you that you have listed and I have listed. No need to do it back. One BIG tip I'll give you is to simply not respond to most users who try to get involved in issues they have little to no business in, in the first place. They probably just want to have some personal importance or something like that, or who knows why really because it doesn't matter in the end. Keep it on an A-B issue/topic the best you can, and you can do your part by ignoring those trying to butt in all the time. So, ask yourself who or what you enjoy here, and whether those things are important enough for you to continue posting here. If they are, stay . If not, it's not the end of the world if they aren't. There's 1919191919191 other forums out there, and I'm sure of those 191919191919191, at least 19191919 would be as enjoyable or better. I love having you around, so I'd like for you to focus on the positive aspects of the forum, while pushing away all the negatives.

I have 1 year left of school.
As for why I revealed much (I don't actually think I did considering I didn't tell you anything more than I'm depressed and that my home life sucks and I want a way out), you're all I've got and it's a cry for help.
