WOW what a putt by Harrington. Good bogey all things considered for Sergio too. Curtis hit it inside a tent :|

This is way better than the Olympics :D

If Harrington gets to 4 majors, he'll put himself in pretty elite company.

Tiger
Nick Faldo
Jack Nicklaus
Severiano Ballesteros
Tom Watson
Raymond Floyd
Lee Trevino
Arnold Palmer
Gary Player

Are the only ones to do 4 or more winning their first 1958 or later

Another sensational back-9 performance by Harrington. He now won 3 out of last 6 majors; great stuff.

Tim Clark is 10 under in 13 holes for the round at Deutsche Bank Championship. 59 is possible.

He ended -9, still only the 2nd best round so far behind Weir's 61 yesterday. Easy course I guess.

If VJ could putt like that, he is almost unbeatable, especially without Tiger around.

I think Vijay was reading this board a few months ago when I said he was harder to find than the sasquatch lately. 3 wins just like that.

He now has 22 PGA Tour wins over the age of 40... he only had 12 before that. He's a freak.

Ryder Cup is still the most fun event to watch. Some pretty intense matches so far with both masterful shots and shanks.

Someone should stuff Boo Weekley's clubs down his throats. What a bad-mannered idiot...

USA deserves the lead though, the Europeans playing like crap, especially their putting is a desaster

I don't really have a problem with it. Sergio let out a big scream too after he made a putt even though Stricker still had one to halve. Poulter always look to be pumped up and on the edge too. This is Ryder Cup, where you should be allowed to run your emotion high. That's why you see normally stoic players like Stricker, Furyk, and McDowell showing their emotion and giving fist pumps.

And I have thoroughly enjoyed today's actions. Good stuff all around, and the putts are falling from all over the place, from Poulter, McDowell, Karlsson, Mickelson, Leonard, etc. You could sometimes see three balls around the flag stick, especially on a short hole like No. 13. The only thing missing is a chip-in from the bunker or a really long bomb. Casey is the one who is struggling right now, and Hansen/Westwood pair didn't do much.

But you shouldn't rile up the fans when the opponent is about to shoot which Weekley and Holmes did regularly. Show your joy but don't rile up the masses.

What a match between Poulter/McDowell and Furyk/Kerry. Kerry didn't do much, but Furyk had the ball-striking going, and the European team had unconscious putting. Both Poulter and McDowell should be considered the MVP so far for Europe. And I'll go with Leonard on the U.S. side.

The final match is incredible too. Mickelson had like 5 birdies and an eagle by himself and could still lose.

OK, 9-7. Considering how single matches had played out since after 1999, and with tie going to Europe, I'd say it's pretty much even right now. Ben Curtis is obviously the weak link for the U.S., and Holmes hasn't made a putt yet, while I'd worry about Harrington on the European side, as he seemed to be running on fumes. Still, Europe looks to have a lot of players made for match play. Should be a great Sunday.

What a start for the day. Two magnificent shots into a couple of feet for birdie.
