San Antonio has always been more entertaining to me than Phoenix and Denver. *shrug* Cleveland doesn't bore me, but they're ugly and I hate the way they play anyways.
The Nuggets are by far the league's most boring team though IMO.

I bet DiAntoni is kicking himself now. He could've got Rose and essentially molded him to become Nash.

Beasley to Bulls and Rose to Miami. Pretty good for both teams.

Rose is from Chicago.
I think they go Rose. I believe he has more potential.

 Re: NBA 2007-2008 season
Good start tonight for the Celtics. They need to keep it going in Game 2 though since I expect the Pistons to come out a little stronger and a little fresher.
It was also good to see Ray Allen take a step in the right direction. He didn't have a great offensive game outside of the first quarter, but he played very well on the defensive end tonight. They need Allen to get his shot going. Even though Garnett and Pierce did well tonight, it'd be nice if the other member of the "Big Three Part Deux" could get going.

 Re: NBA 2007-2008 season
Detroit was just awful... I haven't seen them look that bad in a long time. I don't know how Detroit stayed relatively close as it felt and looked like they should have been losing by 30 points. I hope Chauncey was just rusty because he just wasn't himself at all, and Rasheed was way off his game. The only positive for the Pistons was McDyess and maybe Tayshaun, who has been the most solid from game to game.
As for Boston, I thought they did decently, but that's not the best they can play either. Doc Rivers is getting a little better with personnel adjustments - keeping Cassell on the bench and using Rondo more.
I thought the officiating was terrible, but it was equally bad on both sides of the ball.
Hopefully this was just a warm up game for the Pistons and they'll show up for real in game 2.

 Re: NBA 2007-2008 season
Spurs blew that one, it'll be a lot harder for them to win the series after the momentum of that win. And Jackson is 40-0 after winning game 1. As for the lottery... if you would've told me a year ago that Chicago and Miami would get the top 2 picks, I would've slapped you in the face! I kind of feel bad for Memphis though, they suck every year and never get a bone, while these two take a single year off and get rewarded instantly. I'm not sold on the Bulls though, I think there's some attitude problems in that locker-room. I think they'd have a better chance of contending down the road if they blew up the Hinrich/Gordon/Lol Dang trio and built a new team around their guy, feeding off the lottery for a while. As it stands with Beasely and those guys I think they'll be a solid 4th-5th seed team but none of those 3 is really good enough to be a 2nd stud or all star, I don't know if they could win with that. I'm more sold on Miami... Rose/Wade/Marion is almost ready to go right away, just add the bench and wait a year or two and they'll be right up there again.

Quick thoughts:
Stuckey played PHENOMENAL. Hamilton is by far one of the best players in the league, yet still under-rated.

 Re: NBA 2007-2008 season
Yeah, Stuckey has been getting better and better with every game, and he has ice water running through his veins. I like him a lot. I hate to say it, but sometimes I feel better with him in the game than Chauncey, who still seems gimpy. Pressure is REALLY on Boston now... not only do they have to win at Detroit, but Detroit has shown twice this season that they can win in Boston without a problem. Boston couldn't beat Atlanta or Cleveland on the road.... I don't see how they're going to do it in Detroit. If I'm a Boston fan, the biggest thing that worries me is that the big 3 played really well (including Allen), and they lost at home. Anyhow, I said above that whoever wins this game, wins the series... so, the Pistons are going to the Finals!!!

 Re: NBA 2007-2008 season
On the bright side whenever the Celtics have won the second game and gone up 2-0 they've proceeded to lose the next game. Maybe tied they can finally win a game on the road! This game was just all kinds of ugly on both sides of the ball. The Pistons offense just hit their free throws and made a lot of clutch shots down the end. The Celtics defense just looked ugly tonight. The Pistons defense wasn't that muched better. They swamped early on and contained the Celtics enough so they could grab a lead for the rest of the game, but I doubt the Pistons want to give up 90+ points to the Celtics every night. So, time to hit the rest button again. If the Celtics can lose a game, odds are they can probably win a game on the road. After all they were the best road team this year. It's not the best of signs though that the first win will have to come in Detroit. If Allen can have another good night and they can just contain the Pistons, they'll be okay. But, uh, yeah. They need a win on Saturday night badly. And Tony, the Big 3(x2) played well offensively, but were not good at all defensively.

One thing though, the Pistons shook the rust from their week off and bad Game 1 and played a good game 2.

Anything is possible, but if Boston can't win in Atlanta or Cleveland, I wouldn't hold my breath on a win in Detroit. Not only is it a tough building to play in, but Detroit is even tougher there. As for the game being ugly... I thought the first half was REALLY ugly. I remember one point each team had about 30 points, and each had 11 free throws - about 33% of all the points were from free throws. The refs have just been awful on both sides... let them play a little! However, I thought the 2nd half was pretty good ball. Both teams hit a lot of clutch shots and were playing tough. It was probably ugly to you because Boston lost, but it really wasn't bad basketball overall.

I don't expect any blowouts, and nothing is a given. But, I still think we've yet to see Detroit's best (Chauncey looks iffy, and Rasheed has yet to have a really solid game), and they look really focused. Unless they decide to phone in a game at home, I honestly think they could close this out in 5. If it goes back to Boston 3-1, that would have to crush the Celts' spirit... I will say though, that should the Pistons lose, I could not think of a better team to lose to then the Celts... I would definitely root for them in the Finals.

 Re: NBA 2007-2008 season
Detroit seemed to have that focused underdog feel to them in that game... The worst thing that ever happened to that team was when they started dominating the East and played like they were entitled to win, they kind of lost that edge. Underdog neglected Detroit is scarier.
