This game is such FUCKING BULLSHIT, seriously there are five seconds on the shot clock when the ball goes out of bounds but all of a sudden its a 24 second violation, the refs couldn't be more biased if they tried. What the fuck?

Playing in Atlanta is SHADDDDYYYYYY.

If Houston hits ANOTHER 3 on this next possession... give them the series.

Because it will be INSANE.

Horrible non-call on Okur's offensive rebound; he clearly had his arm on Landry's back and nudged him.

Another valiant effort by the Rockets, and I just hope next year they have everybody healthy going in for once.

McGrady deserves to win a series. To win ANYTHING.

He's practically broken down... yet still destroying people.

Post Re: NBA 2007-2008 season
The last 20 seconds of the Celtics/Hawks game last night, after the game was decided, was the best thing that could've ever happened to the Celtics. The Hawks acted like they had just won the championship. If you thought Kevin Garnett and Paul Pierce were vocal on the court before, just wait for the game on Monday.

Two things will happen tomorrow and no matter what the Celtics end up winning. Either, the game is going to be the most physical one to date with some of the guys going after Horford (was that the one who went batshit crazy after they won?), or they will just flat out beat them down the old fashion way. The Celts win big tomorrow.

And Doris Burke is quite possibly the worst color-commentator I've ever heard. She even beats out Joe Morgan and Tim McCarver in terms of flat out awfulness. If she had mention "up's" or the height of everyone's jump one more time I was going to fly down and beat her. She should never be allowed to call another NBA game again.

That's why I'm so glad CSN gets to carry the playoff games, even if Donny Marshall is doing the color. I want Tommy damn it!

Except for the fact that Tommy is the worst announcer of all time. I swear watching Boston feeds this year was the most annoying damn thing I'd ever heard, apparantley the Celtics have never commited a foul. Though I guess if you're cheering for Boston it's more bearable.

I kind of suspect the same thing is true with our announcer (Infamous Chicago radio-er Chuck Swirsky), if someone hopped on our feed and started hearing all his random catchphrases "Get out the salami and cheese mama, this ball game is over!" "Onions baby, onions" "Sick Wicked and Nasty!" "Bam!!!" "Get out the umbrellas, it's raining treys!" "Oh my Bosh!" (plus about 20 more) it'd be painful too. :hahaha:

Looks like Detroit's back on track, they were losing by 10 at half then turned it around and won easily. I was starting to get worried over the prospect of a Orlando-Philly 2nd round matchup (worst playoff series... ever), granted Detroit-Orlando isn't much better, but anyways.

Oh and I apologize to Tommy about the worst commentator bit, I forgot about this all time classic from the one and only Bill Walton...

Detroit's schizophrenia makes it difficult to be a fan. I'm pretty sure I have high blood pressure now.

Anyhow, they *should* have this in the bag now. Philly's only real chance would be to win 2 games in a row now, to avoid a game 7 in Detroit, and the way this series is going I don't see that happening.

It seems like we're entering a new era now, it looks like the Suns and Mavs in the Nash and Dirk eras are done in terms of being top flight contenders. Kidd and Shaq's age and their contracts will only hurt next year. San Antonio's still good, but I could see this being one of their last years as a real possibility to go all the way, I don't know if they can keep up with the Lakers, Hornets, and Jazz for much longer, if at all at this moment. It's interesting that at the start of this year they were the clear big 3, no-one was even close... the power-switch happened damn quickly.

The big difference between Tommy and Doris though is that one knows a little bit more about the game than the other. And besides, the only reason why Tommy complains about the calls was because he was a former player and a former coach. That was his job and he still feels that way. That and he's a homer. That's his job. However, he does have one vaild beef against one specific official - Kenny Mauer. I think everyone can pretty much agree that he is one of the worst refs working today.

As for Walton, I like him, but yeah, he's better behind a studio desk than calling a game. I have no idea what the fuck he was talking about in that clip. Most of his calls were like that though. Still not as bad as the three I mentioned though. At least Walton is entertaining in a very odd way.

Yep, I agree. This was the game Philly had to have tonight and they let it slip away towards the second half. Well, they didn't let it slip away. The Pistons just took it from them. It wouldn't surprise me if Philly wins one more game, but they needed this win tonight badly. And it looks like the Pistons finally woke up. If they bring the same effort for the next two games, I don't see them losing.

And the Suns from the late 80s... and the Suns from the 70s...

Somewhere in AZ, there's a group of 50 year old+ Suns fans who have been there from the start thinking "What the fuck god... What did I ever do to you... WHAT IS THIS!" From now on, whenever I feel bad about my sports team, I'll just pat myself for not being one of those guys.

Turkoglu wins Most Improved Player. Another obvious but right choice IMO.

Someone gave Shaq a second place vote. I think there's 1 or 2 people who just gave a "screw the system" ballot, some of these votes are just hilarious.

The dynamic of this Hawks/Celts series has changed so dramatically over the last couple of days. It's pretty unbelievable.

All Garnett did was get Pachulia off his shoulder than the man comes up and headbutts him, that's not ok.

I love the way they're playing. They are stealing the role of the aggressors from Boston. If Boston can't match their intensity the rest of the way tonight, this series will be tied.

I usually don't get on the refs, but where the hell are they putting their whistles when the Celtics are on offense? How many times did Powe just get whacked trying to go up with the ball? It's not why the Celtics are trailing right now, but how many times have the Hawks been to the line tonight compared to the Celtics?

Honestly, don't the Hawks kind of remind you of a poor man's Warriors from last year during the playoffs? Dunks all over the place, tons of attitude, gangsta fans practically spilling on the court... it's pretty exciting.
