Dominos has the 30 minutes guarantee...
Which they state is not actually a guarantee.

 Re: The Dark Knight Predictions
exactly thegun, and wb's aim is those guys, not the 5 year old who go to BK; WB will get them with the Batman cereal n candy crap. If every flyer on a Dominos Pizza Box is TDK themed next July...awareness amongst boys 12-30 will be 100%. You also see more Dominos commercials than any pizza place around, another thing.
Reminds me of the matrix reloaded tie in with sprite over coek or pepsi, and the reason their audience, teenage and young adult boys, drank sprite more than either. the result that group made the rated film get 135 over 4 days.

Why did you order from an Dominos in the United States. I fail to see the reason for crazy laughter

 Re: The Dark Knight Predictions
I'd love for this to break Spider-Man 3's record, but that's an insane prediction, especially seeing as there's a pretty good chance this will be moved up to July 16.
At this point, I see a domestic total of $285 million, giving it an increase over Begins similar to those of X2 over X-Men and Dead Man's Chest over Curse of the Black Pearl. I think that would equate to around $105 million for an opening if it stays on Friday and around $75 million (Friday-to-Sunday) if it moves up to Wednesday.

I'll be pissed if they move it to a Wednesday. This tactic does nothing but help the multiplier and hurt the opening weekend. Big fucking deal. This kind of crap rarely causes some kind of magical increase in the overall box office returns. The people that see it on Wednesday would see it on Friday, plus a shitload more. I think it'll finish with around $260-270 million.

Why the heck do they do it? I just don't get it. Oh well, perhaps it will be less crowded and I'll check it out on that Thursday or something.

 Re: The Dark Knight Predictions
I'd actually prefer the Wednesday opening, but that's because I'm leaving for California that weekend and thus, Friday would be my only day to see it... and the Mariners happen to be playing at Safeco that day as well.
Either way, I think it will end with about the same total, but with different portions spread to different places. If opened on a Wednesday, it would probably perform somewhat similarly to Order of the Phoenix given the total ($285 million) I'm currently pegging it with.

It would not make as much as OOTP on opening day, that's for sure. But Potter would likely be more frontloaded than a good Batman film, assuming this one is good like Begins. It will definitely be more frontloaded than Begins, but I don't think it will open big enough to be truly compared with OOTP. And actually, I don't think it will get up to the level you've got it pegged. I'll be thrilled if that happens, but $260ish million seems like a strong spot for it.
