hell yeah

If Pronk returns to form this year I don't see how Detroit is better. They have no pitching.

I thought you were a Yankees fan, Maverikk. You can't be in the fan clubs of two different teams, it is against the rules.

Who's rules are these? You know me, Squee, I'm the poster boy for doing his own thinking!

The Yankees are my favs, but c'mon, the Indians are my home team, do you think I don't like them? I always root for them, and have done so the last few times against the Yanks because I want them to get the monkey off their back already.

You can't root for Cleveland AND New York.

Who are you? Lebron!?

I love how they kept their word and spent money when they were ready. Delluci and Michaels again? Why do they keep putting these slow players in their lineup. Getting Lofton solved that issue a little, because he added to the team speed. When you have guys like Martinez, Hafner, Garko, Peralta, and even Marte in the lineup, you're playing a lot of station to station baseball, guaranteed, and leaving a lot on base. They're just too slow. Can't take more than one base on a hit. How many losses will come because guys can't go from first to third on a single, or score from first on a double, or score from second on a single. I'm just baffled that they think it's a good idea again (despite the disaster last year) to add that LF platoon's very average speed to the cause...

When you factor in what Detroit did this off season in the same market, there's no excuse that Marc Shapiro didn't get an all star power hitting outfielder.

I can pretty much root for whoever I like. So can you. So can Lebron. Cleveland and NY were not rivals when I started following baseball. Cleveland sucked, and after a few good seasons, the Yankees sucked pretty much through the 80's and early 90's. There wasn't any rivalry, and I see no reason to let anybody control who I root for now.

Well there was only a few on the market (Hunter and Jones) and they got ridiculous contracts. If Marte works out (not likely) we can move Blake to left. It's better than a Delluchi/Michaels combo. I'm hoping Shapiro can make a trade at the deadline for some help in the outfield if we do end up needing it.

Unless you wanna stick Bonds in left field :funny: .

fuck baseball

*note - I am a bitter Blue Jays fan, aka fan of the team that has to finish 3rd behind the Red Sox and Yankees every year, aka the worst position in all of sports ever. :disgust:

I was thinking more in terms of trades he could make.

It was a rare occurance

The Red Sox were so embarrased by it that they went out and won the World Series in retaliation

True, although you could sneak into second again if the Yankees fall off the map. You just need to hope that the West and Central teams aren't very good.

<3 Tribe.

I wear my cap proudly. What city with a baseball team is more romantic than Cleveland? Everything else is so gray in comparison.

2 questions.

What happned to CC in last year's playoffs as Boston hit him pretty good. Do you think that he was tired from pitching too many innings all year or Boston just had his number in that game.

And do you think they will have any chance to sign CC. I think he is going to have another big year in this walk year as he is going for a big contract. So what are your opinions on CC and whether he will stay or go.

CC and Carmona both choked big time against the Sox.

Yankees are gonna throw ridiculous money at him. I'm sure he'll stay loyal like Manny, Thome, Belle, ... :pinch:

so you think CC choked. I still say he was tired, MAYBE FROM BAD MANAGING?, as remember he pitched more innings than anyone, in the world I guess last year, not even including his innings in the playoffs.

I understand that you are mad at him for losing but just to say he choked isn't right, there are other things involved, IMO.

If it was just him, then yeah I would agree. But since Carmona, Sizemore, and Hafner were also terrible in that series I'm lead to believe it was a choke.

They won't be the only one's. With no Schilling or Wakefield next year, the Sox are going to be looking for some pitching, especially if they don't go very far this year in the playoffs.
