They're probably kicking themselves for that random 3-11 stretch in December now... same thing with Golden State and their first 6 games.

Looks like the Celtics will win their 50th game ... in the second week of March.

LeBron also gets his 7th triple double of the season.

I love how Philadelphia's headed to the playoffs and Iverson isn't. Beautiful.

Just to put the Celtics 50th win in perspective, I was four the last time the Celtics won 50 games in a season which was the '91-'92 season. And the last time the Celtics won 60+ games in a season? 1985-86, the year they went 40-1 at home and won the championship.

TJ Ford has now become Total Joke Ford

Granted I didn't think we were winning tonight either way, and it may be true that him making his selfish shots kept the game relatively close, but it's the thought that counts. And I'm not digging the thought. Plus he wasn't even trying on defense.

Just to put some more perspective... the last time the Pistons won 60 games? 2 years ago, and they had the best record in the league. Then they lost to Miami in the ECF. :(

Moral of the story is that the regular season doesn't mean hardly anything. I actually think the Pistons are in the best position right now, because in the playoffs they would avoid the Cavs in the 2nd round. While I think Boston or Detroit would beat the Cavs this year, it would be a tough battle and will take its toll on the team that has to do it.

On the flip side, Detroit should get Orlando in the 2nd round, which is a softer team and can not match up with the Pistons.

We saw how seeding makes a big difference last year, with the Pistons getting #1 and then having a much harder road to the ECF than the Cavs did, and it took its toll on Detroit.

So, Boston may be better off by throwing a few games now!

That was a hard one. The offense was bad, but the defense was suffocating as ever. On the road against a team with a new point guard fighting to be in the playoff, I'd definitely take it.

Come on, Hornets! :)

Well a 42/11/7 night from LeBron is wasted. Z, Ben Wallace, and Daniel Gibson are all out. That hurts. :(

Grats to Houston on 20! And Detroit lost to Philly at home! 76ers are on a roll. Wouldn't wanna play them in the playoffs.

If the Rockets don't stumble against Bobcats, the game against the Lakers on Sunday will be for the No. 1 seed.

Looks like every 4th quarter from now on will consist of 15 TJ isos... Probably my 2nd most hated Toronto athlete ever right now. Vince is unbeatable in that category. But it's getting there.

Can't believe Parker could go 2 straight 4th quarters without a shot at the amazing pace he's been going. Bargnani was on tonight in the 2nd half too. But nope. I wish Colangelo would step in and tell Mitchell to bench him for a game or something...

They've lost twice out of three times to Boston. So far, that's not exactly true.

And yes, I know the playoffs are much different. The nice thing though is that everyone on the Celtics seems to want it badly. The biggest gripe I've heard about the Pistons this year is that they seem to be somewhat passive and not as into it as they once were. Then again, I heard and read that via ESPN and since most of those "experts" never seem to know what they're talking about.........

Pistons beat the Heat 3 out of 4 times in the regular season in 2005-2006 (the year they lost the ECF to them). They pretty much owned the Heat in the regular season.

As for the Pistons vs. Celtics this year, the Celts had two games at home. Plus, on that last one, the Pistons were playing the back end of a back to back and were on the road, while Boston had a few days off. Hardly a good gauge of how they stack up.

If the Celts get past the Cavs, the Pistons will win.
