 Re: 2007 NFL Discussion
Anybody see the Paula Abdul performance? It's kind of disturbing. I mean, she looks pretty good, but there's just something... I don't know. And she's lipsynching. Which is HORRIBLE for someone working as a singing talent judge.
Not to mention the song sounds like it should be sung by Hannah Montana or something, not a 45+ woman.

Are they going to start handing out subpoenas to investigate chop blocking? Quote: Walsh says he fears legal retaliation by the Patriots because he signed a non-disclosure agreement when he left the team. He has been advised by an attorney that he will be on firmer ground if he reveals what he knows only at the request of the NFL or Congress. Simultaneously, the Times learned that Sen. Arlen Specter of Pennsylvania -- the ranking Republican on the Senate Judiciary Committee, which has some jurisdiction over the NFL's precious antitrust exemption -- wants to hold hearings on why the material collected in the NFL's investigation was destroyed. Think Congress has no business investigating sports? Most NFL teams play in publicly subsidized stadiums, and NFL games are aired over public airwaves controlled by federal licenses. The licenses, among other things, prohibit any pre-arrangement or artifice in what is presented as live competition. If a Super Bowl were affected by cheating, that would be a legitimate matter of concern to Congress. Plus, the recent lesson learned via baseball and steroids was that Major League Baseball did not clean up its own house until Congress put some pressure on.

But again... Why is Congress getting involved? This isn't exactly steroids that can be a danger to public health. Don't see what this has to do with the Government at all.

 Re: 2007 NFL Discussion
I don't cared if it leads to a revelation of what happened. You know, it was all fun and games so far. What was revealed til now was a joke, it did nothing to help the Pats win 19-0. But if only 50% of the new allegations are true, the Pats are part in one of the biggest scandals in sporting history

The only story I've seen is the rumor that a Patriots cameraman taped the Rams' walkthrough back in 2002.

 Re: 2007 NFL Discussion
Call me when it is found out that the Patriots bugged the other team.
This camera thing just isn't a big deal to me. They are allowed to videotape from two other vantage points, meh, sorry if I don't care about a 3rd angle thrown into the mix, as long as it isn't a secret camera on the other team's sidelines with a microphone built in.

It's the playoffs. The officials aren't as flag-happy there.
Do we really need those Peyton shots?

 Re: 2007 NFL Discussion
WTF? Illegal bat? They are in FG range, why would he intentionally bat the ball to some place where it likely would result in a turnover? Bradshaw was grabbed on the jersey and spun around
Also: The Giants should take Steve SMith out. The first interception was his fault and on the last almost turnover, he slipped on his route

 Re: 2007 NFL Discussion
Strange game. Haven't seen Brady kiss the turf so much this season. This should have been a 3-3 game. The interference call against Pierce was really dumb, that probably wouldn't have been a TD if he lets his hands away
