UGH LEVY!!! You are SO infuriating!!!
How can you be so blind!!!???
The Jags, if they play the Pats, WILL lose by 21+ points. They have a good running game and a decent defense. All New England would need to do is stop the run, and Jacksonville wouldn't be able to score.

The Jags are #2 and have been closing on to New England every week. The Pats are only ahead because of the earlier games. The Jags are statistically the best team of the last 5 weeks

Jacksonville is 4-1 in their last 5.
New England is 5-0.
Jags lost to the Colts, whom NE beat.
Case closed... AGAIN.

Also. Only 2 teams have ever finished the season 1st in scoring offense and 1st in scoring defense. Right now, the Pats have 1st in scoring offense locked up. They are tied for 1st in scoring defense.
I guarantee the Giants come away with LESS than 2 sacks of Brady.

Eli is the trump card.
And I can't guarantee a Bucs win over the Giants. Because the Giants DID win more games.

Re: WOKJ NFL Power Ranking Week #16
They did EXACTLY what they wanted to do.
They stopped the run, and forced Eli to step up and beat them.
Eli had a TREMENDOUS game and did exactly what most QB's do towards the end of a game against the Pats, he screwed it up, and that ONE pick is all it took.
The Patriots are perfect, and when they win the Super Bowl, they will become the GREATEST team of all time.

Shack wrote: I think the Chargers are much more scary than the Jags They aren't. They're coached by Norv Turner and the Jags have a much better defense. The only problem facing the Jags right now is fatigue. I'm sure they rested a bunch of their players when they got blown out by the Texans, but the fact is they haven't had a week of rest since Week 4. It hasn't seem to effect them thus far, but then again they've only beaten one team worth bragging about over the past 8 weeks - the San Diego Chargers. Lucky for them they're facing the Steelers this week and even though they're in Pittsburgh, it's their game to lose since they're the bigger team. In a three-way race between whose the most overrated team entering the postseason in the AFC, the Steelers are at the head of the pack with the Chargers in second and Jaguars (although they've played well) in third - although that'd place them third overall in the conference. Even though I think the Jaguars will beat the Steelers the Steelers do have one big advantage - Ben Rothlisberger. He's been there before and he's won. Garrard is good, but he's yet to prove himself. As for the whole Jaguars/Patriots 1/2 thing, I crunched the numbers over each team's last 8 games. The Patriots come out on top (barely) in points per game scored, and points per game allowed. The only difference comes in the records of the teams each team faced. The Jaguars opponents record was 70-58 while the Patriots had the exact opposite at 58-70. Pats of course went 8-0 while the Jags went 8-2. There's one big difference though. Guess which team faced Miami? If the Dolphins weren't this close to being the best team in college football, the opponents records would begin to look somewhat similar. Both teams played pretty similar down the stretch.

Normally the professional team would blow out the college team, but I actually think it'd be a close game between Ohio State/LSU and the Dolphins. That's just pathetic. I'd watch the game too though.

The Dolphins would blow out LSU/Ohio State.
They'd beat USC by about 14 or so though.

Re: WOKJ NFL Power Ranking Week #16
If he gets any offers anywhere - NFL, college, high school, pee-wee - he should take the first one he gets. Normally it's usually the case of a team underperforming or maybe a lack of talent, but there's no way it wasn't just a lack of talent that caused the team to go 1-15. It's amazing how far he fell.

Cameron clearly did not do a good job, and probably deserved to go. Though I can't imagine he was 1-15 bad, I also can't imagine that he would have been hired under the big tuna anyway.

Re: WOKJ NFL Power Ranking Week #16
Well... the only promising part to Miami in the preseason was their defense... and Cam isn't really a "defense" guy.
They had a QB who enjoyed to get concussions. They had 1 decent receiver... and after they decided their season was over, traded him away. They had a good RB, who was excelling before he got hurt.
And then their rookie QB liked to not even TRY to throw the ball, but let it slip out of his hands.
