Has Garrard had a bad game yet? I still think the Pats will win the superbowl, but if any team has a chance of beating them it's the Jags.

 Re: 2007 NFL Discussion
Also Levy... even if you compare the last 2 games with the Pats/Jags then you get this:
Jacksonville Vs. Carolina, Jags win 37-6 New England Vs. Pittsburgh, Pats win 34-13
Jacksonville Vs. Pittsburgh, Jags win 29-22 New England Vs. New York, Pats win 20-10
Pats defense lets in 16 points, Jags let in 28 points. Jags score 66 points, Pats score 54 points.
Pats beat Pitt by more than the Jags beat Pitt. Jets were 3-10, Panthers were 5-7. HARDLY any better.

EVERY QB has a bad game. And if he hasn't had one yet, then he's probably gonna have one in the playoffs, which is bad news.

 Re: 2007 NFL Discussion
Gerrard is nothing but a modern day Trent Dillfer. He won't lose games but he isn't going to win games either. The Jags D is not on the Ravens level of that season either. Teams should put 8 in the box and dare Gerrard to throw. The Steelers also may be taking a tumble. I never thought they were that great. I think they will lose one of their last two and Cleveland will win the division.

 Re: 2007 NFL Discussion
David Garrard is kind of like Philip Rivers. They both can put up really good numbers... but when teams stack the box and stop the run, which forces Garrard/Rivers to THROW, they LOSE.

 Re: 2007 NFL Discussion
Speaking of upsets, anybody else think the Vikings can take out the Cowboys ala 2005 Steelers? They are on a hot streak right now.

 Re: 2007 NFL Discussion
I think Pitt has a shot to lose BOTH of their final 2 games...
But I don't see Cleveland losing EITHER of their games...
So...
It's gonna be close.

 Re: 2007 NFL Discussion
So.... who thinks Miami can beat the Patriots next weekend? I mean, the Dolphins beat the Ravens, and the Ravens came close to beating the Patriots, only to be thwarted by the refs. It could happen.

 Re: 2007 NFL Discussion
Well... The Ravens got destroyed by the Colts... who lost to the Patriots.
So...
Your logic is flawed.
They have NO shot.

 Re: 2007 NFL Discussion
I think storyline-wise NE's end of the season is pretty neat
Jets: Mangini Spygate revenge Miami: Can the Dolphins keep their franchise's only unbeaten season record? NYG: Boston-New York rivarly game of the year and one more chance to stick it to the Yanks. Jets don't count because... they suck.

I know they won't last long in the playoffs.
Of course they could lose their last two games and not make the playoffs.

So... WHY did the Giants throw 3x in a row?
When they've been running the ball well...
That might be some of the worst play calling I've ever seen...

 Re: 2007 NFL Discussion
how do the tie breakers play out? Does NO get it if tied with the Giants? Actually the Saints and Vikings will be tougher Wild Cards than the Giants would be.

 Re: 2007 NFL Discussion
For the NO/Giants tie breaker, they would look at common games.
NO played Atlanta twice and San Fran once. Giants played Atlanta once and San Fran once.
Since that would be tied, they would look at conference record. And if NO wins out and the Giants lose tonight, then the Saints would get in!!!
