Any opinions on the Jets - Chargers game. I only saw the last 10 of the 4 plus over as I was at the movies and didn't get to the bar till late.
- Amazing that the Jets stupid personal penalty on an incomplete 4 down play - didn't stop the Jets from losing - what a horrible penaly a forearm to the head of the quaterback after he through the ball.
- Then the Chargers rookie kicker missing a 40 yard field goal for the win in overtime. Was a hard kick but he should have made it. He just pushed it to the right for some reason.
- Then the Jets winning drive - maybe one of their few GOOD drives in their last 6 weeks.
That said, doesn't look good foe next week unless they get GIGANTIC games from Curtis Martin, Pennington and the whole defense.

Unfortunately my HDD didn' tape the overtime, but from what I have seen next week would have been far more interesting with San Diego and Brees still in the playoffs. I'm no big fan of the Jets and their game...

I think the Colts are going to win the super bowl. If the rules for illegal contact are strictly enforced(as they have been up to this point), then I don't see anyway for any defense to slow them down enough to win. The Colts defense is of course a question, but I believe they are capable of holding teams under 30 which is all you really need to do w/ that colts offense.

This is a tough one to pick apart.
The eagles a few years ago were slaughtering everyone they played, they then went into indy and laid a bomb. They just got slaughtered, manning picked them apart, they could not get any pressure, he found every blitz, made the correct reads, and just embaressed us. It was a hard game to watch.
The eagles secondary is now 3/4 new. Infact almost the whole defense is different, but manning still scares me. I would rather play the steelers, a team who steamrolld us this season, than the colts. I know we can beat the steelers, manning is another story.
Regardless I have faith, and I think we will pull through, but the colts are a machine, and thus my only true fear. With a healthy TO i dont think we would have a problem ... but yeh .... ](*,)

I stick with the old mantra: Offense wins games, defense wins championships. I still think the Steelers and the Pats are the teams to beat...

The "offense wins games defense wins championships" thing has it's exceptions, however they are few and far between (you could even argue the rams had a top defense the year they won it). That said, I believe Manning and the Colts will be one of the few exceptions to this rule, if not this year then in the near future(I think it'll be this year though). I've just never seen a quarterback who is so unstoppable when he gets into his groove.

My picks for this weekend.
Colts vs. Patriots
Rams vs. Falcons
Eagles vs. Vikings
Steelers vs. Jets
I'm praying that Eagles and Falcons both win. What an awesome game they would have next week. [-o<

Ouch! Terrible pass by Roethlisberger. He's playing like the rookie he is today... Talk about some extra pressure

And now Bettis turns the ball over. This game is a real stunner. I admit, I was completely wrong about this game. Kudos to all who pointed the Jets chances out...

Man, what a thriller. I thought it was over after Roethlisberger's second INT. But they came back like they did all season...

Steelers, baby!
For what I predicted, 1 down 3 to go.
Next up, Falcons over Rams.

If the Steelers play like that again next week (Which has a pretty good chance of happening), than it is almost a certainty that whoever wins between the Patriots and the Colts will go on to the Super Bowl. It's kind of sad that the Steelers almost lost that game twice.

Between big ben and Chad, they both tried very hard to lose that game.
