LMAO! Did anybody accuse the Colts of running up the score or Tony making classless calls
like Bellachick been doing all season long.

I really can't wait for the Jets game.

if he has any he sure as hell didn't show it on that play. :disgust:

you're leading by fucking 28 points and it's 4 n 1.
is that extra 4 points that much important when u're already up by soo much. :disgust:

Open your fucking eyes Pats fans. You know the coach is just pissed off he got punished for
cheating and is now taking it out on the rest of the teams. Its too bad he isn't taking the high road.
Just goes to show you what kind of a man he is.

I don't think they are doing anything different than what the 49ers did in the 89 season. They ran up the score on several teams. I know Falcolns fans who were pissed off because of one game they got beat by almost 50. Not to mention the playoffs where they won by over 30 in two games and ran up the score on the Broncos in the SB. How is it any different than them? I think it shows how good each team were.

Again, how is going for it on 4th and 1 running up the score? It's not like they automatically get a touchdown if they do, whereas going for a field goal from that distance is pretty much guaranteed points. It's the defense's job to stop them from scoring; if they don't like being embarrassed, then they shouldn't let them score.

What do you do, take a knee? Washington supposedly had this great secondary. They should've stopped them.

Did you understand the point of my post? No one bitched about the Colts running up the score.

Okay so what do you do? Do you kick a field goal and guarantee yourself three points which extends the score even more, or do you give the Bills a chance to stop you? Or maybe you take a knee? Then again, that's probably rubbing it in the face of the Bills even more because that'd just say we know you can't stop us, but we'll do you a favor.

lol, the Colts didn't give anybody a reason to think they were running up the score.
They didn't do fucked up things like go for it on 4th n 1 when u're already up by four tds.

YES!! U kick the fieldgoal. That's showing them respect.
I bet if u ask every other coach in the nfl what they would've done, they'd say kick it.

And yet they still blew out a lot of teams. Maybe they should've stopped playing when they had a comfortable lead?

You're showing them respect by scoring more points against them? How does that work exactly?

I've disagreed with a couple of his decisions on keeping Brady in the 4th quarter in a couple of games, but outside of that not really. Both teams are supposed to play a complete 60 minute game. One team isn't supposed to have a great 30 minutes and then just stop playing. If one team isn't as good as them or just doesn't show up at all, it's not their fault.

I shall refer to Houston vs. Tennessee.

Houston scores 29 points in the 4th quarter to take the lead. (though they eventually lose)

Well it's good to know that I can shut off this Cowboys game early. This game just goes to show you how overrated the Pittsburgh Steelers really are.

Hmm... why was Romo throwing a TD PASS to Owens with 8 minutes left in the fourth up by 24 points?

Running it up?

Suck on THAT Rev.

They called lots of running plays and short passes before. It wasn't like he was throwing a 50-yard bomb to him. Is there a gene in Boston/New England fans that makes you annoying and blind for the truth?

We have a gene that allows us to defend a team against unneeded attacks on the team. So if people can accept that there is no such thing as running up the score, then no one will have to worry about it.

There's no written rule in Basketball against running up the score, but when you're up by 40 in the 4th, you rest your starters.

Except starters play a full game in football, in basketball they'll inevitably get some rest. If Brady's never played a full game it will be more difficult when he actually has to. Or if they've never run a play for a TD on 4th down just because they've been up big at some point they may need to its better to have run one.

Basketball plays 82 games. So starters need rest, as they play 4-5 times a week sometimes.

Football plays 20 games MAX. No need to rest starters since every win is crucial.

I have no problem with what Dallas did. I have a problem with people who say the Patriots "run up" the score when Dallas did the EXACT same thing.

So stop bitching and stop teams from scoring. If anything, blame Washington/Buffalo for allowing 50+ points.

Well there is the injury precaution. And in football the players get beat up so much that one game a week is as tiring/hard on the body as 4-5 a week for basketball. More tiring actually.

But then again, another big reason players sit in the 4th quarter of basketball is so the younger scrubs can get experience and playing time. In football putting a scrub in games just so he can develop isn't as essential.

That's because they run up and down a court for 48 minutes. Depending on how good your offense and defense is, starters can sit upwards of 30 minutes in a football game.

And yeah, we're blinded by the truth.

QFT

It's professional football. Defenses get paid millions of dollars to stop offenses. It's not an offensive team's fault if the defenses they face are horrible at stopping them.
