Excel wrote: when did pats get a san fran draft pick? Quick google'ing reveals: http://www.boston.com/sports/football/p ... _pick.htmlThe Patriots will lose their 2008 first-round draft choice if they make the playoffs, or their second- and third-round draft choices if they don't make the playoffs. But as part of trades the Patriots made during the 2007 draft, the team had already acquired some extra draft choices -- the San Francisco 49ers' 2008 first-round draft pick, and the Oakland Raiders' 2008 third-round draft pick. So as of right now, the Patriots have a total of nine draft picks in 2008 -- two apiece in the first and third rounds, and one each in the second, fourth, fifth, sixth and seventh rounds. The picks to be surrendered would be the Patriots' own, not the picks they acquired in trades. ------------------------------------------------------- I guess I should root against SF every game. Another reason to use the NFL Sunday Ticket.

 Re: 2007 NFL Discussion
AP is ahead by 268 yards already. NFL Rushing Yards 1. A. Peterson MIN 1036 2. W. Parker PIT 768 3. J. Addai IND 704 4. M. Lynch BUF 690 5. W. McGahee BAL 689 I'm rooting for him to break the single season rushing record of 2,105 yards by Eric Dickerson in '84. Most Yards Gained, Season 2,105 Eric Dickerson, L.A. Rams, 1984 2,066 Jamal Lewis, Baltimore, 2003 2,053 Barry Sanders, Detroit, 1997

 Re: 2007 NFL Discussion
Addai missed a game, Brandon Jacobs would be at 900 yards if healthy from the beginning. Still he would be more than 100 yards away from the rest. This is just amazing, especially since defenses have only to defend the run against Minny because their passing game threatens noone

 Re: 2007 NFL Discussion
AD is the most exciting player that I get to watch since Randy Moss. It certainly helps that I'm an OU fan and got to see his college career on tv and in about three live games his last year. I just get so excited because you never know if he's suddenly gonna go for 60-70 yards on you and take it home. Reminds me alot of Barry Sanders in that respect. I hope the Vikes go pickup a QB that's good to complement AD and Taylor to a lesser extent. I also hopes he continues to break down records and have a safe and injury free year!

 Re: 2007 NFL Discussion
So, looks like we won't have a winless team after this week. J.P. Losman has not a completed pass yet and Brees is atrocious with 2 interceptions.
And Cleveland is for real. Wow!

Cleveland takes a good lead into the half and blows it all away in a big game. I've never seen this before .

sigh
least we have an easy schedule from here on. But it's Cleveland, so I'm sure we'll miss it by one game.

I think I would be pretty pissed if I had to watch Chicago and Oakland instead of Dallas and New York
Oh my God: Chicago had to put Grossman into the game
