11 Shows To Watch This Summer
Here's my list of what's hot to watch this summer.
Reno 911 (Comedy Central) June 14th
Probably the closest thing to Anchorman on television. Paul Reubens is joining the cast as a crime fighting vigilante. Perfection.
Blow Out (Bravo) June 7th
Last season was actually pretty good. Jonathan's salon is always full of drama. Like Rocko's The Restaurant, only less flashy.
30 Days (FX) June 15th
Morgan Spurlock's Super Size Me on a weekly basis. Spend a month living as a Muslim. Or on minimum wage. Or binge drinking.
Monk (USA) July 18th
Adrian Monk. Enough said.
Comeback (HBO) June 5th
Sex and the City exec producer Michael Patrick King and a mockumentary starring Lisa Kudrow. A winning combo.
Entourage (HBO) June 5th
Season 1 was funny, a nice send up on flash in the pan Hollywood stardom and friends.
Real World XVI: Austin (MTV) June 21st
I can't believe it's been 5 seasons since the last good season (Chicago) and 7 seasons since the last great season (New Orleans). Austin probably won't fare any better than Philly or San Diego. I think they're running out of cities.
Movie Club With John Ridley (AMC)
A must see for anyone interested in current films. Plus the roundtable of reviewers are all quite funny.
Sports Kids Moms & Dads (Bravo) June 1st
It started with Showbiz Moms and Dads. Then it was Showdogs Moms and Dads. Sports Kids Moms and Dads should guarantee more scary insight inTO the obsessive nature of people.
Family Guy/American Dad (FOX) June 5th
Funniest hour on television.
Battlestar Galactica (Sci-Fi) July 15th
We all need to know what happens to Commander Adama. Plus Baltar and Number 6 are the best duo on television.

I've always liked Reno 911, I have the first season on dvd. Gonna check out that Sports Kids shows and ofcourse Family Guy. How about that one show on Fox coming out? Prison Break or something, that looks good.

I couldn't find current info for Prison Break (or The Break not sure which title they're now using) so I left it out. It does look like an interesting show. Maybe it'll hit Fox by late summer.

They are airing two new shows on Fox during the summer right. I totally forgot about them. Yeah one of them was Prison Break which looks the most interesting for Fox's fall season and then they have some other Crossing Jordon ripoff being airing in early June. I cant remember the name of the show

Well, I'll be watching MONK anyway
And definetly The 4400 and Battlestar Galactica. (Both of which I think I'm looking more forward to then any upcoming movie this Summer.)
Of other summer shows, there seem to be good reviews coming out for Beauty and The Geek on WB. I've read that it has "heart". And I personally think that Hit Me Baby One More Time on NBC sounds like it could be fun.

#-o BATTLESTAR!
A rare edit is in order.
4400 is on my radar, as is the final season of Six Feet Under. Both are very good shows.

July 15th will be a good night on the SciFi network, now if only I got that damn channel.
"Kobol's Last Gleaming" was one of the better season finales of last year. Adama, Gaius, 6, Boomer, Apollo and Pres. Rosayln are great. Tigh...meh.

I'm looking forward to The Comeback.
Even if the show sucks, Lisa Kudrow will still remain the greatest thing since sliced bread.

I've watched a handful of Reno 911 episodes since its premiere. It's great. I may just have to do a little full-time watchy this season.
And although I still think The Real World is rather ridiculous (and pretty much just an attempt for 20 somethings to re-live episodes of high school drama), it's always entertaining. And it's in Texas. Yee-haw.
And, of course, Family Guy. American Dad is kinda dookie, though.

Entourage is about a New Yorker who gets famous and his 2 friends and brother who lack onto his fame. It's based in part on Mark Wahlberg's life.
And lots of beautiful women. Countless.
There were also funny famous bit players in season 1, including Val Kilmer, Gary Busey, and Scarlett Johanson.

How about Being Bobby Brown on Bravo, that could be funny or a complete mess like him.

I watched it. It was alright, saved completely by the presence of Kudrow.
From what I've heard, the second episode is much better, so I'll continue watching.

Nope. I watched The 4400, which totally DID NOT disapoint. (USA Network, 9p every Sunday for the rest of the Summer. )

Can't wait for Galactica, the remake is so much better than the original. Love where they are taking it. Watching it again, I have a feeling that the humans came from the cylons not the other way round.
The 4400 is interesting, I hadn't heard anything about it. Then saw an article on it. I managed to get a hold of all season 1 and liked it. I will be watching season 2. Hopefull Family Guy and American Dad run in the summer too.
